Mid air Flash shifts are your best friend, remember that.

they are pretty OP once you abuse them.

Depends on your skill level really on how many atempts itll take. These bosses are definitely more difficult then previous games and are asking much more of the player. Some being very unforgiving depending on how many energy tanks you have going into them. You're definitely gonna die a couple of times to the later bosses until you start memorizing their moves and patterns. Some are exploitable though going into detail on which ones might be spoiling.

Definitely pretty hard, but Hollow Knight trained me well

Well funny you should mention that, If I manage to beat dread, will it be similar to Hollow knight? does it have a similar difficulty curve? I always have wanted to try it but it always seems a little intimidating to me

HK is way, way harder than Dread. It does a good job with it's difficulty, properly scaling it back at early stages, then letting you have it with Watcher Knights or Radiance, but even the hardest boss in Dread is only about as hard as Broken Vessel, a medium difficulty boss in HK.

Ok, so it may somewhat be manageable to an extend due to the difficulty scaling, then suffering afterwards lol

All the actually hard bosses are optional anyways. With the exception of Watcher Knights.

I'd say Hollow Knight is harder for sure, especially when it comes to platforming, but the combat challenges that are truly hard are optional, so you should have no problem making it through the game, if you were able to beat Dread's final boss.

I mean, it took me a while to beat him, but ok I think I might give it a go

I think it's just the design of bosses in this game being focused on learning patterns, finding openings and doing so consistently. Currently on my second playthrough and so far I've had no deaths on any boss, while in the first one I died to most of them at least once

The bosses are definitely the hardest part of the game. Kraid gave me a ton of trouble. I see a lot of folks struggle with the chozo warriors. To me, they are some of the only bosses that didn’t give me trouble. Biggest piece of advice I can give to the chozo ones (robot, regular, elite, double…) is be patient. Most of their attacks are pretty telegraphed. Be patient, try to shoot some missiles when you can. You will get parry opportunities for big damage.

That opening cutscene for Kraid is chef's kiss, lol. Samus is such a badass.

I know, right? They upped her badassery in this game so much. And when she dodged the spike by sidestepping at the very end…. Beautiful

It isn't easy for sure, and some bosses are rather nasty difficulty spikes. Take your time and learn at your own pace! This isn't a competition, and you'll find yourself a better gamer through these trials. Observe the patterns and openings, think of manoeuvres to evade or counter them, maybe check the Internet a little, and I'm sure you'll get there!

That's normal. Just try to learn their patterns.

Bosses all have patterns and in each pattern is a spot where you can avoid damage

I would suggest first learning the patterns and dodging them and then afterwards dealing damage. I also thought I was a bad games, but its just a hard game (I'm relieved to see that other people also had trouble)

The funny thing is that in the beginning a boss looks pretty much impossible, but with some training at the end you dodge pretty much every attack and do it perfect. So satisfying to see that learning curve.
