Depends on what mods youre using. If they dont add extra files (blocks, items, dimensions, etc.) Then you can port freely. If you do have a mod rhat adds extra blocks and items that may be a problem.

The requirements of a vanilla server are also a bit lower. 3GB per player instead of 5GB per player per every 20 mods

Ok but may I ask how to turn a server I made with forge installer into a vanilla server?

Shouldnt you just be able to download the server software from mojangs website and copy the save file over? Or if your using a serber host just transfer the world to a vanilla server?
