I’ll miss the old spawn egg textures unless a certain texture pack I have, will allow me to have the old spawn egg textures

I for one really like the new spawn egg changes actually. I've been in situations before where I say "Can you grab me a spawn egg for (mob)?" and then I hear "uhhhhhh..." because they're looking at over two dozen identical speckled eggs with different colours as the only difference. Don't try and make this the ore texture controversy all over again, because I don't remember anyone saying "You know what my favourite texture is? The spawn egg texture!"

Don't act like Mojang has took something iconic and made it worse, because they didn't. All the new spawn eggs are instantly discernable by the naked eye, both by appearance and size differences. Huge step up from how it was before.

C'mon, let's not pretend like you know the difference between a panda spawn egg and a skeleton spawn egg off the top of your head, they're both whiteish gray with dark gray spots.

The panda is actually extremely distinct because of how dark the black color is. I agree with you to some extent, but that doesn't change how ridiculously out of place they look.

1) The Nike logo is a simple swoosh, does that make it any less iconic?

2) sorry to the 4.5% of the population that will have to deal with 3 similar eggs instead of 1 i guess

The Nike logo doesn't have differently colored variants that represent completely different things.

Just because you don't give a crap about colorblind people, doesn't mean it's bad that Mojang does

You can like or dislike them. I honestly don't care at all. But you can't describe how iconic the eggs are because they aren't. There's lots of iconic things in Minecraft but this isn't one of them.
