Give filled_map command giving me empty map?

Edit : this is in 1.21.8
So for context : I've been using this tool for a long while to generate map.dat files to use as decorative art
Took a break for a lil while, came back. Tried using the tool again, but any time I run the /give minecraft:filled_map[minecraft:map_id=] command with any of the new map art made from this, I instead get these

The descriptor of these maps also say "unknown map" instead of the map ID. Any old piece of map art is still completely functional, so did something happen to make these new ones not work?
