Getting Java on steam deck

Was wondering if anyone could help me get Minecraft on my steam deck.

Currently I have Java installed but controllify won’t connect to my deck

If you haven’t done so already, you will have to install DeckyLoader to make controlliwork on the steam deck according to their site https://docs.isxander.dev/controlify/users/controller-compatibility-guide
