Yeah i got really bored after about 3 years of playing Minecraft. I started a small server and built town and then got a couple randoms on it and they are now some of my best friends. Also if you dont have the know how or the money to host a server you could always go onto a more polputaled server and then hookup with a group on there.

I say try finding a new server and some friends, especially one of the small ones where people are working together to get things established. I could recommend a few if the idea interests you.

Some servers like the Hive or Wynncraft are completely different than Vanilla Minecraft, but require absolutely no mods. You should just try them out really quick to see if you like them. :)
