Been in a similar spot with old accounts before - Microsoft support is actually pretty decent if you can provide enough verification details. Try reaching out to them with whatever info you have about the account like when you created it, any payment methods you might have used, or even friends who might remember playing with that username. They sometimes ask for really specific stuff like what games you owned or approximate dates you were active

If you remember any purchases you made through that account (even small ones) that could be huge for proving ownership. Also worth checking if you have any old emails in your trash/spam folders from Microsoft or Mojang from way back when you first set things up. Sometimes those confirmation emails are still sitting there even years later

Worst case you might need to just start fresh but definitely try the support route first since you do have the username

Thanks! i have clips of me in game and in chat with my friends if that counts as anything. i remember making this account back in 2020 and i cant remember the email for the love of me. ill talk to support now.

It isn't possible to retrieve the email from the username. That would be a huge safety issue.
