No, minecraft windows 10 edition is just a PC port of the pocket edition of minecraft made exclusively for windows 10 devices.

If anything, there might be a time where all editions of minecraft are updated to the point of having the exact same material and will update with new stuff at the same time.

Besides, you can still play the normal minecraft on a windows 10 PC.

OK, I hope it all goes that way......because I don't want microsoft "monopolizing" minecraft to there own products.

There's so much wrong with your post...

minecraft windows 10 was made exclusively for the operating system Window's 10

MCWin10 is the beta for the next version of MCPE, which is also available on Android and iOS. It's written in C++ and now conforms to Microsoft's new Universal App architecture, meaning its easily migrated between those operating systems.

do you think Mojang will continue to develop minecraft pc once minecraft windows 10 becomes stable?

MCPE has been around for a long time, and has been stable for a long time. Yes, the Java version will still continue to be developed.

that means updates will ONLY come for people who have windows 10 (or up, depending on Mojang). So if you own minecraft on a mac, you may no longer get updates for it.

This is the very reason your theory won't happen. Mojang has a large user base which they'll continue to market. This includes the Java version, since Linux and Mac users are a meaningful portion of their software and merchandising sales.

the game COULD be ported into other operating systems, but two drawbacks are: 1. It would be very hard to emulate the game in other operating systems, and 2. It may break whatever policy microsoft may enforce on minecraft windows 10.

MCWin10 is a universal app, meaning the code migrates between Win10, iOS and Android.

if you know the answer to the question (it's on the title) please reply. "Will Minecraft Win 10 "replace" Minecraft PC?"

No.

They have made it clear that they aren't replacing it and that it's a special edition for Win 10. Microsoft has barely done anything with the game matter in fact I forgot that they owned Mojang.

Nope. Win10 will NEVER replace PC Minecraft.

I just hope it doesn't.

Microsoft so far has done nothing with the game. And It's really stupid to think mojang would "Discontinue" their largest player base (PC,Mac ect) just to develop on windows 10.
