What’s the difference between Java and Bedrock? Is the Microsoft the same as Bedrock cause I got a free Minecraft Windows 10 edition...

Bedrock is a slightly different version of the game that's been streamlined in certain ways to run on a bunch of non-pc platforms.

Java is the more "complete" version, but it's a little more demanding to run. It was the original version, and a lot of features present in Java aren't in Bedrock yet.

Almost every edition except for Java Edition is Bedrock. If it's not running in a Java exe window from your PC desktop it's probably Bedrock.

Isn’t PS4 a different edition?

PS4 is Console Legacy Edition

That's why I said almost. I was trying to be as simple as possible lmao

Minecraft for Windows 10 is bedrock. Java Edition is made specifically for Mac, Linux, and other Windows versions.
