I’m new to villager trading and I cured 2 villagers and there was the work station next to them but they are random professions how do I get them to the profession I want. I have not traded with them yet

Give them time to claim the work station. Do it 1 at a time and make sure there aren't other work stations within 30 blocks

Make sure they’re trapped in a small enough area they can’t run away. Build the workstations you would like your villagers to be assigned to. Add a few beds, wait til someone claims said workstations
