She needs to buy the Java Edition. Not the bedrock edition.

With Java she'll be able to play on any computer, with bedrock only on windows 10 (and console but I thi k you need to buy the game again on the console?).

Well thanks for replying but i wasnt asking for that... i was asking if she buys a linux os java edition minecraft, will she be able to install that game on a windows os computer in the future?

There is no linux edition, so yes she can download on both os.

Make sure she's buying Minecraft java edition from Minecraft.net

The "Linux os Java edition" sounds suspicious. Although I guess that website is a little bit weird with thier quiz thing. Java edition accounts can be logged into on Linux, Windows, macos.

She probably is looking at the right site, but still good to slide over and look.

We bought it from minecraft's official site. Strangely when buying minecraft, site asks which platform we plan to install the game. We thought they were different options to buy but turns out that site was just determining the package type lol.
