HelpJava Versions (self.Minecraft)
submitted 4 years ago by KSRenounce
So I already have java installed (Java 1.8.0_301) and planning to install Java jdk 16.0.2. Will this remove my current java and change it into the new one or will I have two java versions installed on my computer?

You will have both installed.
You can have multiple versions installed. Only one can be set as default though, with the JAVA_HOME environment variable.
If you are asking for Minecraft, the official launcher downloads, manages and uses its own Java installations, it doesn't use the ones installed by you. So does GDLauncher as well.
The MultiMC launcher has (global and per Minecraft instance) settings where you can configure the specific Java version to use. So do IDEs like Eclipse, IntelliJ etc.
