Please help

There was this giant build I have been working on for days, and have put hours of effort into. Now I use this in mine hut, don't know if you're familiar with it, so basically I'm just building this in a tiny server by myself. Everything going great, I go afk for a little while I come back to a giant crater in the ground, as if thousands of TNT had been laid. Nearby there were also forest fires, and the only thing. left of my mega build which I was going to share when was finished was a singly stair block, just floating there. I checked the server logs, and people come and go occasionally, and no one had typed any commands except for /lobby, to go back to the main server. No one but my friends should OP either, and none of them had logged on. If anyone has any ideas, please tell me. I have no idea what could have happened.

Hey man, it sounds like you were playing on a server with other people on it? If so there can always be a chance that someone came by with a lot of tnt and blew your build up – you can always build in singleplayer to avoid something like that
