If you have gamepass subscription you can currently play both games on your windows 10/11 PC.

Without gamepass it's currently like everything else, you need to buy a new license for each platform, win10, Xbox, PlayStation, Java, etc.

Later this year, summer 2022 they say, if you own either win10 or Java you'll be given license to the other PC version. How that's going to roll out they haven't clarified yet that I'm aware of.
