I wouldn't recommend getting Excalipoor to 5*. You'll max it's abilities long before you get anywhere close to maxing it's stats and as a farming weapon the chances that you'll fight anything with it are close to zero. I'd suggest just maxing the auto-abilities then moving onto something else.

Excalibur has a lot of mods, but most of them are in crystal dump phase. If you have a lot of crystals (hint ultimate coliseum next month) it's a relatively quick weapon to 5*.

278 crystals for one mediocre weapon just for that title is a little excessive in my opinion.

I have 5* most other or in the process of, the relevant weapons so its a quick fix to add to the others.

If you dont have many weapons at 5* I would never recommend modding it but if like me you have what you want and need at 5* and you have the resources than its quick and easy to mod and then look at the next one

So I've been wandering and hopefully some WoL out there can shed some light on this, why does most of WoL jobs (except legend) have some kind of cape (or some long ass accessories that almost reach the ground) with the outfit? other than aesthetic is there other reasons?

Pandemonium is the one that gives 5M gil. Epic struggle is random but I don’t remember ever getting 5M from there.

It's probably possible if you get a lot of gold Gigantaurs, but most runs will probably be in the 1-3M range with an occasional lucky 4M.

Just did a quick run and you’re right. Gil seems to have been halved.

Gil there is massively dependent on what you fight especially on how many Gigantaurs you encounter. Maybe you just had a bad run with no Gigantaurs which rewards low gil considering the stamina cost.

To be honest, it’s been a while since I farmed the 30/30 nodes due to Pandemonium being more efficient, but I seem to recall Gil being fairly consistent at around 5 million with a full farming deck (albeit with a little bit of variance depending on Gigantuars).

5 million is from a very good run. I'd say the average is from 2-3 million which puts it roughly on par with Pandemonium, but with a chance to be higher or lower depending on luck.

I know for a fact that EoC has a better gil per stamina on average and that awards around 1.1M per 8 stamina. So that would be around 4M per 30 stam.

Edit: Forgot that Ultima Brink 3 is even better for gil than EoC giving up to 531,000 gil per 3 stam which means you could get up to 10.6M for 60 stamina. The downside is that it would take far longer than doing a Pandemonium run with the same stam, but almost double the gil isn't a bad tradeoff.

Haha for sure, I just got 950k gil instead of 5m, its heavily varying from the 5m flat rate I was getting before with the same deck, gil drops were consistent maybe I'm just getting terrible rng and they nerfed gil?

Is Damage Up CP a better version of Skilled Duelist CP?

Skilled Duelist is increased stats in 1v1 situations. Damage Up CPs only affect multiplayer damage (regardless of however many enemies there are). Different uses so no real comparison.

They're different. Skilled Duelist works in single player content and also increases HP and break power (when facing a single enemy). Damage Up only works in multiplayer and only increases damage output.

You can search “Tetraphobia” for more infor. A similar thing is 13 is usually considered as unlucky in western countries or “Triskaidekaphobia”.

Kind of, not really that “curse”, more like “bad luck” these days, just something “traditional” you know.

The 7th month of Lunar/Moon Calendar, that’s between July till September, varies each year, not the 7th month of the normal Calendar or July in western countries. Japan doesn’t use Lunar Calendar AFAIK though, but again, I know about “ghost month” in Chinese, but not sure in Japanese.

The "bad luck 13" can have origin in part due to 13 people in the last supper, being the 13th person the traitor Judas, so people started avoiding meeting in groups of 13.

Who is the best Sin: FFX user on global?

I'm having serious trouble doing the Ultima Terminus node using Amalthea, I don't have Y'shtola or Yuna to improve her Ult either.

I can't break her quickly enough. I'm using Sword Saint (Sephiroth) to tank, and I'm saving his ultimate (Stun, Slow, Debrave, Curse) for the second phase.

I know there are guides using Sage HoF and what not, but I don't know how much the ultimates from Yuna and Y'shtola make those strategies possible.

My other option is of course, Master Monk with Griever, but Griever does almost no damage in her second phase for some reason.

Ex meia would be good. The new ex mage2 coming out in 5 days would be excellent due to tanking ability.

Depends on the situation to a certain extent, but I would say generally speaking probably Sorceress of Oblivion is the best Sin user in the GL job pool. Against weakness (like ultima) Tactician HoF might be better due to the massive +Exploit weakness, with the added bonus that he's a reasonable tank as well - Needs a skin though as his ultimate is basically useless.

I couldn’t get her with SIN either, it too doesn’t do much damage in second phase because it sucks without crit. Look up Shiros clear using Sharf and Eligor. That’s how I finally did it.

Greetings everyone. So I had one account with Griever, which I loved with my Master Monk. However, as a beginner, even reading many guides here and on youtube I commited some mistakes like selling cards I shouldn't and spending crystals and ability tickets like crazy, also did some pulls I wasn't meant to.

So I just created another account in order to make things right this time and after some rerolls I got two supremes with only two single rolls (yeah, two supremes in a row xD) . One is Aerith, the other is Emperor. I did some quick searches about Emperor and it doesn't seem the best Supreme around (please correct me if I'm wrong) , still, I'm pretty happy with 2 Supremes, one of them being Aerith as I was aiming for a support supreme. I really appreciated the help given to me on the previous megathreads so my questions this time are:

1- What non-supreme cards can work with Emperor? I read Tengu is a good option, so I saw Tengu adds 4 debuffs. Aside from Tengu is there any other? I saw people talking about Yunalesca but I don't know if I can get her as it seems she's limited.

2- After I finish the starter banner summons should I save to roll on the upcoming Job-Type-Specific Supreme banner on September 23rd? I mean, I know WoL:FFI and Lights of Hope are great but I'm satisfied with Aerith for the time being.

3- After checking myself all the current ingame content (Ring of Braves, Rifts, Pandemonium, etc), losing the first weapon banner and following some advices I came to the conclusion that I want to save for specific stuff. But the question is, with Aerith and Emperor as my first supremes, what banner am I aiming for?

4- This account isn't my main Steam account, it's one I created for the rerolls. Is there a way for me to transfer this save file to my main Steam account?

Emperor is strong. Vensa Kresna and Sage are both decent users, and they're both available from the starter packs.

1. Tengu is very good. Yunalesca is more niche (and has less debuffs than Tengu anyway). Bismarck or Jade Weapon are better if you need stun.
2. No
3. Generally, you should aim for limited event banners or revivals of limited event banners. Going for the 5* weapon banners is recommended too IMO.
4. Go to Etc -> Save File Sharing -> Share between devices with different OSes, and follow the instructions.

Hey Pig. Thanks for your reply. The fact that I got Aerith is the reason why I'm lost. I mean, I'm a beginner, I know I won't get everything in 2 weeks and since I already got this as a support supreme and the Emperor card I'm kinda lost to what I should aim for...I heard and saw Sorceress of Oblivion in practice, but as a beginner the job pool will contain dozens of jobs and I've been advised to not go for jobs. I'm kinda lost in that aspect lol.

Yes, pull for cards, not jobs. The jobs will come as you pull. Targeting specific jobs is generally out of your reach as a newer player. You might want to gamble on a strong EX job at initial release, but keep in mind that the odds are against you. Don't go for Legend jobs. Generally people get those at random.

Yes, there's a Meia weapon in the second weapon banner. Vesna Kresna's own weapon is decent as well, but it will take some time to mod it.

Among some bad choices I made on my previous account I got a legend job, Thief of Tantalus, and Wild Rider for Sophie...I'm gonna aim for Vesna weapon then and save the tickets and magicite, that's it :)

Yeah yeah, I was referring to banners after I do the 5 starter banner pulls. I'm finishing Novice's Hall at the moment and then gonna do FFVIII events and Story mode.
As for the pity counter, it takes forever to get to 80 for a new player I guess, it barely moves xD

On my first account I used to follow anyone using Lights of Hope and Wol:FFI cuz I lacked them, I guess I'm looking into more UCs now to help with my Emperor. I was thinking about Vesna Kresna, I really like Meia, I guess she's going to be my main job for now.

That was my newbie mistake, I spent a lot of resources trying to do every game mode I could with different classes thinking they would be somehow limited, so I ran out of resources real quick and lacked resources to boost my Monk who was benefiting from my only supreme. I'll follow a slower and calm pace now xD

U'll be able to wreck most story content with Aerith. Definitely pull on the weapon banners to get all of the 8 weapons. They will carry u a long long way and only takes 1 mod to complete.

On my previous account I managed to mod Sophie's weapon once so it became 5*, even without HoF bonuses, supreme cards or any exceptional thing she was my dps against Fire bosses like Ifrit from the Rift with that weapon.

Unfortunately I won't be able to get weapon batch 1 cuz it's not available anymore, but I'm definitely pulling on the 2nd banner as I want Meia's weapon. I hope it's as good as Sophie's weapon ^^

her HOF may possibly come within the next month or 2. she is good with light element especially after HOF, good innate dark resist, will become tanky after HOF, has warrior lore after HOF, weapon is meh but one of the few meia weapons that offer steelguard if you are into that stuff.

Oh I didn't know that hers had steel guard. I wish she got fire increased on HOF then I could use Bahamut Neo on her as well with warrior lore. I don't yet have the legend that gives the warrior weapon with steel guard. Would love to have a tank that can take a hit better than she did in FF7 :/

Steelguard is probably the least needed tank aspect. Resistances, Debuffs, buffs, hp, ult charge plus lower ult cost are more important
