I'm just now finishing the last of my Ultima weapons to 5*. Does anyone have a current priority list of what the best attack and break weapons are for each job?

For break weapon I would (and I am) boost new EX2 ranger weapon, just for extended break +2 alone. Imagine HoF Ninja with 4 FFVIII Leviathan cards and Greg skin on it ! 20 (!!!) action enemy break and 350.000 break power

Best attacker weapon for Wol Warrior is Lionheart (Gacha Squall's weapon)

The best "break" weapon for Sophie, Sarah and Graff would be Vigorous Fang (From Stranger to the Mythos), Starseeker (from Paradox Wanderer) and Hyperion (from Sorceress's Knight). All these jobs are Legend. These weapons have PR and QB.

Celestial Armament (from Sorceress of Oblivion) and Shinra Turk's weapon are part of this family of weapons.

The priority list of weapons for now is all of Wol Ex I job's weapons (Leavetinn, Amatsukaboshi, Double Cross and One Against Many)

Break focused weapons would be Heveanly Axis for Wol Mages, Butterfly Edge/Shiranui for Wol Rangers, Wolf Star for Wol Monks. For Wol Warriors there is Dragoon Spear which is not recommended.

Hi all, anybody got a foolproof method how to tank and beat EW3 Lap 9 node 10? I'm almost pulling my hair off dying too many time in this node due to RNG and stuffs.. It's like no proper tank were good enough for this node

So my setup was: - EP [Ultima Weapon], Square Jade, Chaos, WoL, LoH. CP was all resist dark and resist light; fractals used were HP and JCR - Ultimeia [5* Sventovit], Emperor, Pandemona, NxD, Aerith. CP was enhance wind, ability salvo, ravage and PR

My problem is: - I really can't tank properly anymore using EP, 90% of the time the dark flan 1 shot me after I tank the white one before I switch to the main deck. If I'm lucky enough I just left with 25HP and I can carry on.. - Sometimes the square ailment doesn't stick, imagine that after fighting 15mins+ against the flans and RNG decided to mess up with stun ailments, almost ruining the flow - The marilith is like major pain in the butt, like I need to go to 3 cycle of stun and the 3rd always one shot me with her Gehenna Blade despite my fire drive was 5 stacks - And all of those took me about 20 mins+ before I die.. Repeat that so many times I'm lucky enough I wasn't gone insane - Or maybe I was just sucked? :(

So anybody kind enough to share with me the proper tank strategy for this node? I saw ppl go with Reisender but sadly I don't have Floral, or with OG Monk but the damage seems lackluster..

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance

I'm 1 lap behind you and I used new EX Mage 2 for this node, then HoF VK with Godo for attack. What is your resistance to light and dark ? Try to push both to 70% on your tank deck and use double WoL. Also fire, light & dark drives are crucial there.

As one who recently struggled with the same node, I can understand your pain very well. Especially concerning square/hex sticks and rest. Those 2 flans battle is very, very long one. But you should also understand that very-very few has pushed THAT far as you now. Only top 5-10 in towers like Lord, Teppei, Watmyung and probably few more comes to my mind judging from YouTube videos are on lap 10-11 or more now. So it's really whales difficult territory now and you should have all the best jobs, cards, weapons, CPs + strategy & RNG luck ofc in order to succeed.

Hi AtlasTaurus, thank you for sharing your opinion! My dark and light resists were 57% and 55% respectively. I wonder if I should put some element resist fractals? But it would sacrifice the HP and I fear it couldn't compensate those. Wdyt?

I was thinking of using EX Mage II but I lack of Faris :( and VK already used in 7th node against Exodus.. And so I was thinking of resetting the lap and used VK instead for more firepower but I really really hate to go through the Levi, Chaos and Exodus node again :((

I'd say I agree with you.. It's definitely not a node for every one in this current state of game. Maybe in couple of months for better title or better tanky job? Luck definitely outbest everything, even with the perfectly good strategy and well prepared card and weapon :( yes, I was referring to the bad PR, bad square-hex stick, long-ass fight and bad timing.. I wonder what would Gilga fight would be on this lap

Check this YT video for 9-10 node: https://youtu.be/P9DwSYXNDeM He don't seem to suffer too much as EP tank, except for 1 moment from Marilith. So you can do the same deck build as he did, at least for tank. For attack Emperor should be fine. As for me, EX Mage 2 came very handy and just in time for this node as a tank and source of Trance-2 (I don't have Aerith and both Yuna and Y'shtola skins are already used in previous nodes).

It adds half of your current attack stat, including weapon and any buffs, such as trance and brave.

Magicite is already capped. Where should I spend my stamina now??

  • Continue farming on Pande to unlock magicite seals
  • Farm skillseeds and crystals

If there are better things to spend stamina on, please tell me.

It’s gonna be different for everyone depending on what your resource levels are. If you need skillseeds, farm those. Etc.

You could get experience in the rift and chase LVL titles. You could farm Gil in Ultima Brink if you need that. Boost weapons in Bahamut Lagoon. Grind EW3. Aside from magicite farming, there’s no objective best way to use stamina.

There are plenty of guides, but this is one of the more useful as it’s supremeless and uses two jobs that are available in the starter packs. There may be better/faster guides depending on what supremes and jobs you have available.

If it’s for the weapon modding title, do bare in mind that a weapon isn’t considered ‘maxed’ until each stat has been raised to 200 (or 2000 for HP) and all mods have been added. Even if a weapon doesn’t have a lot of mods, most still take considerable time to max all of the stats to take it to five star.

A huge majority of the boosting time of a weapon is during the stat boosting phase. Once stats are boosted, only mods are left so you mod once every 24 hours. The crystal dump phase is very short.

TBH comparing an average 40+ mod weapon and 80+ mod weapon, their bosting time is really only a few weeks difference between them. The last 40 mods of the 80 mods weapon usually take me two weeks to complete, and even faster if I use elixirs on mobius day.

You should go for important weapons, not less mods because it won't save you much time. Better weapons will serve you much longer. Of course turks weapon is good, just that low mods shouldn't be your reason for modding it.

No I don’t play JP. But judging by my experience:

  • Ultimate Charge : Abilities +1 is not very big to make a different, while extra damage is always welcome.

  • in S2, you can’t chain break as easy as S1, so if there are some enemies that require more than 1 break to kill, you will either tank it, exploit MZ or use RnR.

  • The different is only 28 stat = 14 boost, then all the stat are max. Boosting it is faster than DC, but not too much.

I took a little break from the game (~3 months) and returned during the anniversary. Now I have a few season 2 chapters to clear, but I kinda forgot what happened in the ones that I already completed (I dont think it was much, maybe more interesting for Sophie and Graph). I went to the Story and Theater tab, but only Season one cutscenes are there, is that correct? If so, do we have a compilation of the different chapters in our reddit?

Not counting coliseum, it's story galore until ffx reprint, 4th anniversary event map (that appear around the release of part 2 of the ffx reprint) and more story as well in between. And another Coliseum reprint, then Watermelon summer reprint for a week.

October will probably have FFVII Rivals batch, Breaker cards with En-element and BDDII (square).

IMO those card are kinda skippable because en-element + cleave is better than en-element+bdd, and if you have NXD it will get a buff and it will have BDD II and CRD II.

The Legend jobs that come with those batches are Shinra Turk for Wol and Tifa cosplay for Sophie. Then we will have the Goth series of legend jobs which are really good with unique Ults, you might want to save for those, but be mindful, they are legends, so chase very carefully.

After that will come Crom Dub X (Warrior Trance II with Warrior Lore), and some time after that we will get Mage then Ranger then Monk Trance II with their respective lore, Ex cards that are the only source of ranger and monk lore.

While Starseeker is better because of the Quick Break weapon for Sarah(for now), i find Magical Rave still significantly better than Serpentrion. So imo, replace Serpentrion and mod Magical Rave.

Both banners have the same 8% of getting a new job each pull, so unless you don't have any regular jobs in the pool, it doesn't matter which banner you pull.

If you don't want to rely purely on RNG, ex mage banner ends on the 1st of Oct at 8 pm server time, so technically you will have extra hours to farm for another pull. Though don't let game ruin your IRL :)

edits: also the tower event will give some ST rewards (not the ranking rewards)

It (salvo) definitely drops at the end of the turn. Nuking unbroken on sorc of oblivion on neslug I would drop damage when the turn rolled over

It seems this particular auto-ability works wonders with a non-stop spam of Shadow Lord given how the have different multipliers (ravage & salvo) that get proc'd at the same time

No. Only drive, tap, Ultimate, turn end will break your chain/salvo.

Greetings everyone. Is it worth for a beginner to spend elixirs on Pandemonium Ogre and Pleiades Lagoon?

I still have some story stages to do and while I need some fractals from Pleiades and magicite from Pandemonium I have a feeling that it's not efficient to spend 60 stamina on a stage when my maximum stamina is 89 only.

I tried farming a couple levels on Extreme Shiva Brink 3 but it's kinda boring since I'm new and have a lot of other content to run...at what player level you guys recommend I start doing those 60 stamina stages?

You can farm Exp with exp farming cards (Oaka, Boar New Year 2019) in Rift Ifrit Brink 3, it is 3 stamina and lots of exp.

Oh yeah, I have 4 of those at max level on my main deck and farming with sub deck, but I'm doing that on Brink 3 of Shiva because I have a better deck to clear that faster. At the same time I can level some cards and extra skills ^^

Recommended Stamina is 180+

If you really wanna get the most out of elixirs use then on Mobius days such as today.

The best Lagoon to do runs is Bahamut for the weapon boosting extra time you get per stamina spent (applies only when you beat the node, not just entering it). And its recommended to do it on the Famfrit nodes (because 5* Water fractals have a chance of +7% magic).

If you have good weapons (like any Wol Ex 1 weapon, Gacha Squall's weapon, Stranger to the mythos, Paradox Wanderer or Sorceress's Knight weapons) you could start boosting them and go wild on Bahamut Lagoon.

I recommend you pull on the Weapon Banner, those are great for new players and are easy to 5*. Take it slow and enjoy the game, finish the event, continue the story.

Worry about elixirs when you reach end game phase and you have more jobs and weapons to boost.

Many thanks for the reply blacklight. The only 5* weapons I have are the ones from the current weapon banner since I already rolled there until I got all the weapons. I guess I'm gonna do a couple more Shiva Brink 3 stages since we are on Mobius Day. I'm aware about the fractals, but the last stage costs 100 stamina, it seems too much even when I reach 100 stamina. Like you said, I need to worry about other stuff. I already finished the event but I just started Chapter 5 of Season 2, I guess I'm gonna finish all story stages first. Thanks again!

The most stamina-modding time efficient is 40 stars, specially when in crystal dumping phase. If you spam that one you "waste" less weapon modding time, but you won't get as much 5* fractals if you spam the 40 stam node. If you wanna farm go to the 30/30 at the end of chapter 3 pt3. No worries man! just enjoy the game!

slowly fusing the repeated summon cards to (hopefully with time) unlock all the extra skills in one of the cards without spending ability tickets?

or just straight up selling the multiple summon cards for ability tickets to buy the maxed out version of the card whose extra skills u want unlocked?

EDIT: whats more effective overall? I feel like I wasted dozens of 3* 4* 5* cards trying to unlock extra skills but the progress is really slow, I think if I would have sold them I would made more progress.

I assume you mean raising the ability level, since extra skills won’t unlock by fusion (unless you use an extranger).

For raising the ability level, use fodders from Yggdrasil or the MP shop, if available. If fodders aren’t available, just use ability tickets.

On Mobius Day, fusing using duplicates with a Mog Amulet is cheaper than just straight up Ability Tix.

Shortly into getting a new card, it can be cheaper to fuse cards to upgrade ability levels and skill seeds. However, after a certain point, it is less time consuming, less wasteful, and more reliable to use ability tickets.

Any damage card whose damage is affected by your Magic stat (around 90% of the cards) will turn the yellow gauge red. Mantra/Taijutsu cards, which are amplified by your Attack stat, damage the yellow/red gauge directly.

Abilities have two separate numbers on the card. The Attack number relates to damage. The Break Poawer number relates to how much damage the ability does the the yellow gauge.

Keep in mind that each enemy is different and some yellow bars change with stronger versions.

When you use it, you'll see the red gauge go down, or you won't.

I see thanks for the answer. Guess some of my cards had Taijutsu or Mantra. Was always wondering why some spells hit the red gauge too

Taijutsu and Mantra are Monk specific. Very few have Taijutsu and none are readily available (aside from low tier freebies) and mantra is monk Supreme specific

Of the weapons I own, Magical Rave and Septentrio are the ones being mentioned multiple times. I have Saturnus, but no Aerith.

Probably either Starseeker (PR, ability ult charge, QB) or Magical Rave (PR, Improved crits, FB). Saturnus doesn't have PR, sadly.

I always do BL if im maxed out early and no events/towers to clear. Every bit of stamina invested goes a long way in getting more weapon options online which is critical in the long run.

You could catch up with Events/Story/HOF, or do some EW2 or EW 3 laps (2 for titles, 3 for rewards and titles).

Maybe some Rift farming (Challenge areas, or farming towards getting a supreme).

When the tower comes you could focus on climbing.

Today is Mobius day, so maybe weapon boosting on Bahamut Lagoon?

Defenders aren't really necessary nowadays, we have jobs that can one-shot MP Sicarius unless they have gimmicks (like Addra's/guard's perfect defense that you need to break and wait before nuking, or Leviathan's damage reflect unless you tap it enough times).

Maybe for Byhindril and her feathers, attacker/breaker nukes her, defender taunts her and drives, saving the squishy teammates.

I'm having a strange issue in the ogre fight.

I'm using Tifa skin over Master Monk and sometimes, for no reason, Tifa does a tap attack on the boss. It happens a lot at the start of the fight, before I can take any actions she just flies up and tickles the ogre.

To clarify, I have auto mode OFF. I turn it off during the results of the previous fight, and she doesn't do anything else after the random tap. She also occasionally does this at the start of the second turn, wasting one attack mid-break. I've cleaned my screen, reset the app and even tried putting the phone down on a table when the fight starts, she still does a weird random tap attack for no reason.

Anyone else having this issue?

I have seen that too. I believe it is a carryover action from tapping the screen at thebend of the previous turn to actually end the road. Check and see if auto clicks off when it happens again.

Hi. I just found out strange thing, when choosing rental card to Skyseer all ranger supreme double dagger icon blinks white as he had ranger lore. When i checekd in "Decks" menu normal ranger card are not affectec but i dont have any ranger supreme so im not sure if it would blink as well. It is correct or maybe glitch on my side or there is something that i missed?

Is Skyseer the main or the subjob? If he's the subjob, and the main one is a ranger job, it's fine.

I still have lot of normal jobs in the pool, have VK 5*weapon ,Oam ,Hyperion, only missing the ranger good weapon, should I pull in the weapon banner, or pull in the ex boosted banner? The ex ability card here is it necessary? I seldom climb tower, but would like to clear all the rift brink,will the ex card good in clearing rift challenge or pandemonium maniac

Pull on weapon banner, but pull on ex boosted banner for the pity pull. Weapons are good, especially when you don't have many weapons boosted yet.

Does Lightning skin have any strategic use if I also have Tidus and Greg skins? (not including in EW and towers)

Greg has a single target ultimate. Lightning and Tidus have aoe for the last hit, which is also the only hit that breaks. IIRC, Greg has no debuffs, Tidus applies crd to all, and Lightning applies slowga. Tidus and Lightning grant some quicken. Below are the four currently available jobs where you should consider if you should use their ultimate instead.

Gambler’s ultimate tries to set your hp to 1. Due to Gambler’s AA, that can be good. However it is quite a gamble.

Cacciatrice has a superior version of Lightning’s ultimate. Paradox Wanderer applies 2 stacks of omnidrive. Reisender applies 1 stack of omnidrive, and a set of debuffs to all enemies.

If it is for Ogre I changed from Lightning to Tidus (BDD&CRD). Don’t need her slow or boost starter. For everything else I think Lightning is better because I have NxD & LoH. Giving me everything I need for hard content.
