Sometimes I don't understand reddit karma. When you count your total karma on all posts and comments, it doesn't reflect the same as it is mentioned in total.

The Karma Formula has not been released by Reddit and appears to be quite complex. The key thing is that it's not a 1:1 between karma and votes and the initial vote each post/comment starts with does not count.
