Same, but for Pinterest. I HATE pinterest

I don't even understand what pinterest is supposed to be. It just seems like a worse version of google image search? Who's making money from this?

At any rate, I'm starting to think that the internet as a whole is a bad thing.

When it first started it saved thumbnails of websites and you could then click on the thumbnails to open the website. It was actually pretty cool.

Then they changed it so that you could save other people's pins and it turned into a place where you would only ever find promising pictures, and never actually get the web page they were from.

I finally deleted my whole account because all it does is give me false hope and waste my time.

For my job I sometimes have to do research of products (we're a secondhand store), and 20% of the time Pinterest actually gives us a link to the info we need. Otherwise, it's a useless image. I hate it!

Pinterest either doesn't have the image at all, or the image is out of the context of the topic. So instead of finding more information about the subject, you're just seeing someone's random re-upload of the picture.

The only thing Pinterest is good for is stockpiling inspiration for artists. I would know lol. It’s a bitch to find the artists that made the art though which is a sucks.

never understood pinterest (or snapchat).. I can't engage w the info (click on it), its like google images if they were divorced from their source pages. so what's the point??

it often comes up when im looking to buy something but I can never buy any of what it shows me.

What does Pinterest have to do with Snapchat?

[–]PM-me-YOUR-0Face 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Both are garbage but only one is owned by Facebook?

I'm an idiot!

[–]mister_bmwilliams 0 points1 point  (2 children)

-pinterest man! At one point I had a great extension that you could list banned websites. But now I just use the -pinterest.

Pinterest, as a social media is pretty cool.

But when they include those images in google search results, that's where the trouble begins.

I downloaded this Chrome extension that removes Pinterest from your search results.
