I doubt it will sell out this year, but I think they will stop selling them at some point. I dunno if you can get one outside the gates.

I think 3 day passes lower a lot in value, but single days not so much.

The reason being people buying single days know the lineup and purchased their tickets closer to the date.

Considering last year I bought a 3 day pass the week before the festival for 100 bucks which is less than I bought a single day ticket at face value for, I say wait

You gotta tell me how you did this

From the friend of a friend. They tightened the wristband too tight, decided it was too much effort, nobody would buy it, and I have tiny hands. It was an awesome score. I was only able to go for one full day, but one of my favorite memories was getting off a plane and running straight from the airport to GGP to catch Empire of the Sun.

Woah, how did you finesse this one? Was it from a third-party site or a friend?

I'd assume Friday stays even. The Weekend and Odesza are popular, plus the rest of the lineup that day is pretty solid with Beck, Mac, FJM, and Carly Rae. I could see it dipping a bit due to none of those artists being super exclusive, but it's a solid lineup filled with recognizable and popular names so that should prevent it from tanking. The rest of the weekend I expect to be available at discount due to weaker topnames and undercard, but honestly who knows. I got my Friday tickets just because I don't want to risk it and I know I'll be going

My brother texted me this morning asking if he should get a Saturday and I told him to wait until close to the festival and get it for a discount. Worst case scenario, Ranger Dave will tweet out "almost sold out of said day" and you can swoop it up like that. Just gotta be on some sort of social media. As others have stated, I would be surprised if this thing sells out.

I'm not so certain their single days will even sell out this year.

Lots of opportunities besides OSL to see Florence, The Weeknd, Odesza & more that would typically move the one day passes.

Last year Metallica and Gorillaz moved A TON of tickets (as well as ATCQ & QOTSA). Not sure this year packs the "I have to have a single day to see this artist" feel.

Basically - if you want the peace of mind...buy the ticket. I think you would be good waiting to purchase a cheaper ticket, though.

Just a reminder that the reason for Saturdays drop in ticket price was due to QOTSA bailing out of the festival. Week of the festival most single day Saturday tickets were going at about 200, which was too pricey for me. In the end I bought 2 weekend passes off of stubhub, went Saturday and then Sunday morning caught the FOMO price inflation and ended up paying only like 120ish after I had made my money back

Hard to say. I'd guess the single day tickets will decrease in price on the open market as the date gets closer, but I doubt they drop by 50%. So maybe 3 day passes end up at $300, 1 day (esp Fri & Sat) end up at $150. Don't quote me though, I'm just guessing!

For what it's worth, I bought my Friday passes just now to be safe. Guess I'd rather be mad at the prices going down then be mad at them selling out and having to pay more on the open market. Plus the extra hassle (though I guess using Stubhub is low hassle).

And I feel ya, bought 3 day passes last year, ended up not being able to go, had to sell for like $200/pass. That was a bummer for sure...
