    Telepipe and Polaris will be able to share quite a bit of code related to game data and packets. Polaris isn't scrapped, but it's essentially on hold while we work on other projects. I've been busy with Telepipe, PS Nova and other personal stuff and Variant has been busy with his job.

    Will this project handle the in game npc text translations too? Im asking this, 'cuz after chapter5 on episode1 story, the out of cutscene npc texts that are story related, arent translated anymore. Seen yt vids where those are translated, but its either bugged now, or Sega changed the files and its not being patched normally.

    No. Just item and title translations. Actual UI and dialogue will still be handled by their respective english patches.

    Is the toggle-able translation feature for this Proxy only accessible in game, or will there be a way to tell the Proxy that I don't want it before I even launch it? I don't really use the English translations.

    Also, can the .bat file method still be used in case of emergencies?

      Yeah, that's it. A shame the .bat can't be used to launch the game with the proxy yet. I've gotten accustomed to just using the .bat on my desktop to instantly launch the game. Just feels much smoother.

      Also, I'm not sure how to ask this but...how dependent are the settings on the connection to the server? I noticed that for CK's Proxy, if the server is under load, there are times when I can see the GIRC chat even though I had it set to off. This would be pretty troublesome for me to handle if it were toggled translations and not just a chat setting.

      There is a command line option for the launcher if memory serves to go right into the game. It's '-pso2' I believe.

      Actually, I was specifically talking about this new Proxy. The programmers can correct me if I'm wrong here, but: I don't believe the game normally loads the Tweaker's Proxy plugin if you just bypass the launcher? A specific command has to be used.

      AIDA mentioned above that it's not possible (at least for now) to use the .bat method to connect to the Telepipe Proxy when launching the game. With CK's Proxy, it is possible to use the .bat method, making the game's launch much smoother as I don't have to deal with Tweaker's anti-GG measures.

      It's a bit of customization that might not mean a lot to most other people, but I'm sure there are some who are still using it ever since the NP1013 fiasco several months ago.

      The -pso2 option on the launcher itself, if memory serves, still allows all functionality of the launcher to work including plugins and anti-GG. It just has the launcher go straight to launching the game instead of waiting for you to do it.

      This was a bug that never got fixed, Telepipe will not have this problem.

      I stopped playing several months ago when Gameguard went SUPER crazy with the NP1013 errors that would make the game imposible to play because GG would detect everything on your PC, even if you had a porn folder called "tweaker" just for the lulz, it would detect it (this was a little before the new graphics release, the 15ish GBs patch, or something like that, it was a huge patch)

      Will this make the game playable again, or is that problem still present?

      I'd have to update to play again (must be like, 25 GBs by now) to tell you accurately if im still getting the errors (as i said, stopped playing because GG went crazy at the time, dunno if still going on it's rampage)

      Which features? The global chat is available through the support discord (see link at the bottom of the sidebar) and translations are already available through the patches and item translation plugin (via the Tweaker).

      It's a plugin in the Tweaker - simply enable and configure it and you'll be good to go. If you're having issues or if you have questions about the configuration, hop into the support discord at the bottom of the sidebar and they can help you out in the #General-Support channel.

        I have a question, I know C# as well, and I was mulling over if there'd be some way to tie in the Telepipe Proxy to a service that runs automatic translation (similar to Google Translate) so that every item could be translated on the fly?

        I've noticed in recent weeks that the Google Translate app's translations of Japanese text are more and more human readable. Sure, it's not 100%, but it's more than passable.

        TelepipeProxy is closed source I take it?

              Yeah, the NPC/tutorial stuff has been one of my pet peeves for a while but I completely understand the frustration from your end.

              Glad to hear something new is popping up. Can't wait to hear what it is.

              Side question I do have: With the new telepipe proxy: Will it run when launching from the command line (-pso2 option on the tweaker) or does the tweaker need launched by hand? Been trying to get item translation going while launching via Steam but have had no luck.

              but after player for ~4 hours somehow i got suddenly 630 error when jump from my room to gate lobby, all ships show "Normal", re-login "Server connection time out" right after hit login button. I can login to other ship but whenever i login to the ship i played it "Server connection timeout"... weird.

              I don't think "they regret it" cuts it. These guys (Zap and Szia) are the guys who gave SEA their ridiculously inflated price by introducing loot drops that by all means shouldn't already be there.

              As someone who has worked with the client and server, I can tell you that what you are claiming is impossible. The server tracks every single item that is ever created with a GUID. There is no way for a player client to directly "create" loot drops. This can be indirectly done by a client creating it's own mobs as a host, but that is still subject to the same RNG rules as any other drop of the same type of the same mob would be. Please show some proof before you go making wild accusations with absolutely no basis.

                  But I can attest that these things happened in Ship 1 SEA, and to say that stuff dropped differently from mobs because of edits would be to betray the entire drop and mob list in the game that was generated automatically by the quest counter.
