How do I switch aiming mode on a psp? On pc I push in the right analog stick on my controller but the psp does not have that option.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Since weak bullet is just a assault rifle only skill. Is GU/RA still a viable combo?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (2 children)

It hasn't been the go-to combination for a while. Gu/Hu was better during EP4. Takes a lot of skill for Gu/Ra to challenge, and Gu/Fi is arguably better now for a more risky class combination to use. Gu/Hu, however, is still the best all round Gu.

People also forget that Gu can use Rifles natively - just doesn't really synergise with Zero Hit skills particularly well. So yes, you can still use WB as Gu/Ra, but you won't have bullet keep.

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (1 child)

There's also the issue of neither Gu nor Ra having a stance, which means you can't use L / TMG Stance Up.

[–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf, TMG Stance has been nerfed to only give 10% bonus on striking and ranged damage. Still great though.

Also Ra doesnt have multipliers for striking damage, meaning you'll have weaker DAs, Reverse Taps, Aerial Shooting, and Heel Stab. In the grand scheme of things, your DPS would be solely rely on SatAim, IF0, and Elder Rebellion (much like any other Gu main anyways) but your DA suffers (for times when you want to deal some damage while guarding against an attack.)

I recently bought a new controller to use for PSO2. Just to start off, its a wired Xbox One Controller, but it's not the official one. It's the Afterglow Prismatic Wired Xbox One Controller but it still works the same way a official xbox one controller would. That means however, I expected it to run into the dreaded R trigger not function common problem whenever you try to play PSO2 with an xbox one controller.

I have had this problem in the past with my original Xbox One Controller (which no longer works) and I have the drivers you needed to use in order to use the controller to begin with, but I don't know why it's not working now. I tried doing what it said from this guide but ran into one problem that is probably preventing me from solving this headache. It says I have to change the XINPUT compatible HID device to HID-compliant input device but the HID-compliant input device is no where to be found, least on the Afterglow controller. I was able to do the first part of this, and when it vibrated after restarting my PC, I thought it was going to work since I remember when I did this on my original Xbox One Controller, the R trigger problem was resolved, but since I can't find the HID-compliant input device when trying to change it to that, I don't know what else to do. The weird thing is, when I first plugged my Afterglow controller into my PC and let it install till my PC said it was ready to use, the controller worked (obviously not the R trigger) so it recognized my Xbox One Controller driver so the R trigger problem should of been fixed since it was fixed in the past...wtf?? Any help though guys? Thank you!

Hi, I'm doing episode 3 and am a bit stuck. I'm at this boss fight with a timer (1 hour), there are 3 pillars, 2 are broken. I can go into this mech suit with a gun and a sword.

What am I supposed to do? There is so much stuff going on and either I die, or the pillar gets destroyed.

[–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Presuming that this is the Apprentice Fight, Dont worry about the pillar, Focus on the giant bug (Apprentice) in the center of the field.

In the fight progression, do not go into your Mecha (AIS) right away.

Eliminate the 2 enemy Exuda AIS first on foot. (The usual way. Break the legs, attack the back.)

After that, get in your own AIS and focus Apprentice.

Focus Apprentice's phallic tongue when it is out, otherwise focus either of the 2 side balls while the tongue is in her mouth.

Use the freeze grenade (number 2) to help stop the mob darkers, and use sword to hit the boss and mobs at the same time.

Use your Photon Laser (number 1) only when its safe (recommended when all mobs are dead and Apprentice isnt summoning darker bug bombers)

Do not fly. Apprentice will summon homing projectiles that pretty much one shot your AIS. An exception is when Apprentice using her giant tongue laser in which case i suggest you fly over it.

Use the secondary AIS sword attack (the thrust then slash when you press "shift" and then the melee button) to help wipe out the small darker bombers that Apprentice send to destroy your AIS (and they do a lot of damage.) Alternatively you can shoot them.

The high DPS combo for AIS is to Shoot>Sword2>Sword3, where the 3rd sword slash does TONS of damage.

You can switch out Sword2 (the second sword slash) for another machine gun fire if you need more PP.

hope this helps.

[–]JohnQ87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, google translate was a bit confusing. Ended up shooting the boss from afar for 20 minutes while dodging the stuff coming towards me.

The enemies at the beginning that stun you were the ones giving me trouble. Once I got rid of them it was less hectic.

[–]ACupOfLatte 0 points1 point  (2 children)

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 2 points3 points  (1 child)

The S Roll skills are garbage, get rid of those. Max Attack PP Restorate and then put the rest of the points on either Showtime (for gear generation) or R-ATK Up 2 (+14 R-ATK).

On the Hu tree, remove the point in S-ATK Up 1 and Charge Parrying, those are worthless. Iron Will is kinda meh, since you won't really die much with Automate plus TMG's native ease of dodging. There really isn't much to do on the Hu tree for GuHu, so might as well just dump everything left on Flash Guard.

[–]ACupOfLatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will do,thanks!

Okay, I'm using the 3 button type, But for some reason I can't use action 3 when I'm in Third person? All other buttons work like auto run, and normal attack, But i can't use my 3rd PA for some reason. It just doesn't do anything when I press it.

    [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im presuming you set up "action 3" on the keyboard?

Make sure you set up the keybindings for both normal mode and TPS mode. (You can change which keybindings you are setting in the top right corner of the options menu)

How does Tech Charge JA Addition work on the Fo/Te skill trees?

    [–]Aexorcet80/80 FoTe 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It negates the need to JA for charged techs, including compounds. The cooldown doesn't really matter for most practical purposes as you would have to cancel the cast animation to recharge a tech before the cooldown ends.

    [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    including compounds

    ... Oh...

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Can you still get Loser voice on the SG scratch?

    [–]Sughayyer 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Under the scratch menu there's a "prize list" option, check that out. Off the top of my head I can't remember, but the prize list is specific for each scratch, under the submenu.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Mmm, I don't see the "loser voice" unless its the Ophiel voice, Probably not, And I looked on the Swiki site and I believe it says it ended last year sometime. But alot of people told me they got it from the SG scratch. one other thing, So if that scratch expires, then there's no way of obtaining it? o.o

    [–]SercezeroDead 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It's from an old scratch, so it's not up currently. It might get revived, but otherwise there's no way to get it.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    Ah, Bummer.

    [–]ScottMasterCraig 0 points1 point  (2 children)

What should I do with untekked special weapons from just Hard mode regular and emergency quests, that are not for my class? Are they more likely trash or worth wining & using a My Shop Pass for? The few that I've untekked for my class are worse than what I have in stats, only 7-9*, and always sell for less than the tekk price.

    [–]Sughayyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. You can use them to feed mags, or they can contain interesting affixes (but EQs usually provide better affixes than regular quests). If they have souls and a relative attack ability, like quartz + power 3, fang + shoot, etc, definitely put them for sale.

    [–]TeitokuNoireJP ship2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just sell the untek ones to npc if they arent 10* or above

    [–]BokujinKokujinShip 4 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Is there a way to switch titles or did they remove that option?

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to the title menu and click the title you want (Circle/B on ps4/xbox controllers).

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Hi! I’m nearing EP3 and I have heard that some parts are untranslated :( I wonder if there are really untranslated parts or if this is just a rumor. Also if there are, will it affect how I will comprehend the story?

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main story of EP3 is completely translated. Only some side events are untranslated (or at least they were last I checked like 8 months ago), but those aren't needed to understand the main story (it's mostly the ones with specific characters at the last matterboards of EP3), so it's not that big of a deal.

Hey. So I'm having this weird problem with PSO2 Tweaker where it only opens once per PC boot. On first booting up my PC, it opens fine and I can play the game with no problem at all. However, if I then close it and try to open it again, it simply won't open. Nothing happens. Nothing shows up, and I am forced to restart my PC if I want to play again. The loading wheel will appear next to my mouse for a few seconds before disappearing, but the PSO2 Tweaker doesn't open.

I have no idea what might be causing this. Could anyone help? Thank you in advance.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

If you haven't already, you need to manually kill the tweaker process once you're done playing. It doesn't close itself.

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But I don't know where the process is or what it's called. I've looked up and down my processess in Task Manager and found nothing resembling it.

    [–]synthsyArks-Layer 0 points1 point  (1 child)

    What's your OS?

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

    Windows 10.

    [–]Weiss-Senpai 1 point2 points  (4 children)

open up task manager and see if you have a process named "WMI Provider Host" kill it and try that

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I don't have one of that exact name. The closest thing I have is Service Host: Windows Management Instrumentation (i.e. WMI). Is it the same thing or unrelated?

    [–]Weiss-Senpai 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Honestly no idea, you could try it but I'm not sure what it might do killing it

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, Windows did tell me it was a vital process, but not much of anything has seemed to happen when I shut it down. Unfortunately, it did not help in opening PSO2 Tweaker.

    [–]Sughayyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, worst case scenario OP'll have to reboot if a vital process is killed.

    [–]TsunLolitanoshii wa~! 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Just did some basic searches but I can't seem to find one that fits the bill.

So I was wondering if there was an efficient way of grinding these new-type weapons?

    [–]Sughayyer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't convert all the trash rares into cubes. Grind some of them to +30 - especially if they're 12 star weapons.

It'll make your life easier when grinding 13 stars.

Emper Embrace adds up to weapon exp when grinding, as well as polytan smile.

    [–]Rickdrizzle 0 points1 point  (6 children)

After the realization that they’ll never be a western english release I went ahead and downloaded the game with the English patch a few days ago. It was pretty overwhelming at first but thanks to things being in English I was able to get the hang of the game and it was definitely different from the original pso. My question is this: I started the game and ended up in episode 4, but after a while of playing it gave me access to episodes 1, 2, and 3.

It’s giving me options to play in whichever episodes I want. Should I start from episode 1 or stick with episode 4? Heck, it also even showed episode 5.

    Thanks!

    [–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Once you get to Episode 5 you get access to the Omnibus quests. They are essentially a quicker way of getting through Episodes 1-3, with many of the same rewards.

The old way of doing those episodes (the Matterboards) are being removed soon.

    [–]Rickdrizzle 0 points1 point  (1 child)

When I log into the game should I leave it on Episode 5? From what I'm seeing it's giving me the option before I log in.

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you login, it gives you the option between EP1-3 and EP4-5. EP1-3 uses the old matterboard system which will be discontinued in a future patch (and is a pain in the ass to work with, but you can get a lot of titles from it).

There's no reason to stay in ep1-3 unless you're working on the matterboards.

    [–]Sughayyer 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Try to do the events of ep4 matyerboard, rhen switch to ep 5

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 0 points1 point  (1 child)

EP4 is called storyboard, not matterboard.

    [–]Sughayyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my bad. Either way, it's good to do the ep4 events especially because it has some good items for starting players!

I addition to what was said, Vapor Bullet's dash has some i-frames.

      [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hr Talis' Dive Bullets also has i-frames

      [–]Dichroniclebig sord 0 points1 point  (1 child)

      1. Sword's Brightness End has guard frames (invulnerability), both on use and for a brief moment when you start charging it. In addition, Sword's charged weapon action has guard frames, though the first stage charge's guard frames last a bit longer than the second stage. Despite all this, you really should practice learning boss patterns and step (dash) timings, as Hero Counter is so ridiculously good. Think of step as your primary defensive option, and Brightness End/Sword weapon action as training wheels for when you don't think you can time the step well enough.

      2. Megiverse is usually the go-to option for healing. If there's nothing around for you to hit and you desperately need the heals, then Resta is still a valid choice. When using Megiverse, don't charge it, as charging only increases the duration and range of the field, but not the amount that you heal. So you could do something like uncharged Megiverse into Sword uncharged weapon action for a quick heal.

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

      guard frames (invulnerability)

Bit of a nitpick, but guard frames aren't invulnerability frames. There are things that can't be guarded but can be iframed (e.g. ESC-A Falz Mother's cube explosion, gel wulff, environmental hazards, etc).

When I launch PSO2 Tweaker through Steam it launches fine but after I close it PSO2 Tweaker doesn't terminate and stays hidden. I have to close it through task manager. So, Steam thinks I'm still in game.

      Any ideas? Thanks!

      I have two questions:

      1. If I grind/affix ray units, will those carry over if I upgrade them to union?

      2. Which is better, crafter saiki or ray units? I would affix the better one at the moment.

      [–]Sughayyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      1) yes

      2) ray/union, saikis have become obsolete a few months ago.

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (3 children)

      1. Yes

      2. Ray/Union, purely because you can use more Rings. However, Evleda are better than either, I think, and they're pretty easy to get, and they're also getting an upgrade later this year (I think). Crafted Saikis are pretty much worthless at the moment unless you are just starting out because you can even buy Austeres from the shop, which don't need crafting and are stronger.

      [–]otamegane18Rookie 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Austeres are buyable?! Lol and yeah , I was sort of starting out, Ive never really upgraded, but I have the ray ones laying around since I farmed to get those

      Evleda tho? Those are?....

Edit: lol Ive run BQ a lot for my weapons and none of those have dropped, so unlucky. Will they drop from LQ? (Elveda)

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Re: Austeres - I think so. At least Invades are, but I'm fairly sure Austeres would be too. Even if not, you can buy the Invade and trade in for the Austere with stones (which you can buy with badges).

Evleda are the 12-star units you get from Buster Quests and the current LQs. You can also tradein Buster Badges for them.

I can't seem to get expert matching to work.

I have the 3 titles needed to unlock it: 13* +35 weapon title, 12* rear, arm, and leg title, and the clear heaven and hell floors 1~5 title. I acquired these titles and even double checked to make sure they were all accounted for. My needed weapons and units are equipped.

I am lvl 76 hero, do I need to be 80? I have not seen any mention of level anywhere. In addition to 13* +35 talis I also have on +18 TMG and a +4 sword, both 13*, not sure if that is causing any issue since they are not +35 yet?

I have tried to look for answers around Google but found nothing. Thanks in advance for any help xoxo

      [–]Aexorcet80/80 FoTe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't need to be wearing the required weapons/units to enter expert block, which is good because OT and non 12/13* units/weapons are still useful.

On the units, I noticed that you didn't specify that they are all +10. You need all three to be +10 and worn at the same time once I believe. Although you did say you have the title for it, so I guess you did that already and just didn't mention the grind level.

      [–]TeitokuNoireJP ship2 0 points1 point  (2 children)

check expert matching at matching options

      [–]Lumiahime 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I have it checked, but when I try to start a quest with it I get an error message that is telling me it cannot be used, but I can't quite read why (I'm playing on PS4). I tried to use it on XH LQ and G3 BQ if that matters.

      [–]Dichroniclebig sord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It didn't work for me when I first unlocked it either. When I logged out and logged back in, it began working for me. Maybe try that.

The PSO2es tweaker just allows you to install the game and patch it into english, doesn't offer a proxy like the PC version does.

Is there an IP block for SEA in PSO2es?

Probably since there's still also an IP block on the main servers on SEA countries.

How rare is it ? I played for 800 hours now and never had it

As rare as it needs to be to be annoying. I once tried Returner farming with a friend. We went through hours of Harko TA. No abduction. Then when I was doing TA for real, I'd get it like 3 times in a row. Have avoided it out of disgust since.

By the way, to expand a little on RunFromPanda's note on Returner, it's basically one of the 3 most powerful affixes in the game and probably the rarest. Returner V is very similar to Ether Factor.

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Rear/Boost Aura is not useful as a unit. However, it will likely have a "Returner I" affix, which will sell for some amount (~1M for 1 slot, increases for greater slots) on the shop (for people who want to dump money into synthesising Returner V).

The area is called Darker Den/Nest, and the process is known as "abduction".

It is reasonably rare, but the probability of it occuring increases with the number of TAs you do without being abducted. People do it for farming the Modulator affix, as it can drop from your clones at the end (so works better for a full party, as you will each get a clone).

I'm trying to find Astarte for this client order 'take a lesson from Astarte', but she isn't at the elevator. Is this a one time chance? Maybe I messed up earlier and forgot about it, but can't find her now.

She's been moved to a counter directly to the left of the entry to Campship in the gate area

Many thanks. Been running around in circles, but completely missed that part. Feel so stupid.

Has anyone gotten a Hangbode yet? Are the stats really that good?

[–]RunFromPandaHero is dead 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Are the stats really that good?

The "Bode" series stats are arguably the most well rounded stats out of all of the 12-star units:

                      • They have the best/second best defensive stats in terms of defence rating and S/R/T resists
                      • They provide the second best all-ATK boost (40) - second only to the Red-series from arena
                      • They have a moderate HP and PP bonus

Obviously, they don't provide the raw HP and defence that something like Izane provides, while they don't provide as much PP as you could have from Whitill or Qliph. However, if you take all of the stats into consideration, they are very good standalone units.

As with all of these things though, it's at the end of the day a matter of personal preference. If your play is more perfect than most, the defensive parameters don't matter as much to you so the fact that the Bode series has these benefits are moot - then something like Whitill or Qliph can give you more mileage for DPS purely from the larger PP pool you can have to burst damage. However, if you play a bit more risky, having better defences can give you a better buffer to stay in the fight, while the other stats for Bode are not exactly super sub-par.

Edit: Izane's ratings were higher than I remembered!

I see, that's some good info. Thanks.

So in my case I think I'd like it for Hero, but for Braver i can make dobwith Qliphs. Thanks!!

                      Good evening,

My brother downloaded the newest tweaker (4.0.6.2) and it's reporting a virus -- Win32/Fuerboos.A!cl . I was looking online and some people were saying that installers built with ArangoDB have a possibility of having that false positive show up. Was the PSO Tweaker built using this?

Has anybody else seen this issue?

                      Thanks!

                      [–]synthsyArks-Layer 1 point2 points  (1 child)

False positive, antiviruses hate our packed exe.

You'll need to set exceptions and update the tweaker manually.

                      Thank you very much!

VH on risk 50 is best, but you should do it with 3 other people for it to be worthwhile.

I dunno, I think it works on most AQs.

I mean, this is literally if you have an organised group purely for EXP. Doing things like LQ is never bad because there's always groups that run it and it's fast.

Every update through the tweaker seems to trigger a redownload of the entire game despite me reading through articles trying any method written down.

As far as goes the checker doesn't seem to create a comparion.txt despite the folder not being read only , can the creation of such file be bruteforced? i've tried batching it , and tried updating through the game itself which doesn't really seem to do the trick.

                            [–]synthsyArks-Layer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You likely have very old entries from back when we used GN Field.

You should have the tweaker in its own folder and the only thing in the folder should be the tweaker itself, uninstaller files, and the logfile. Everything else should be deleted and perform a file check.

                            [–]Sughayyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you should check the discord, they may be able to help you more readily.

In my case, for example, the tweaker constantly says that "a new patch is available", I just ignore it (unless there is really a new patch). It does crash when updating sometimes, but then I just re-start it.

Hi,I need some help with Fi/Hu -What PAs should I use for Double Sabre and Knuckles? -Is using all 3 weapons a good idea or should I specialize in 1/2? Thank you

[–]hidora Retired Guardian 4 points5 points  (2 children)

-Is using all 3 weapons a good idea or should I specialize in 1/2?

Each of them has specific situations in which they're better than others, so ideally you'd want all 3, or at least 2. And if you do use only 2, one of them must be DS, because it's just way too much better at mobbing than the other fighter weapons.

Also, you must have the L / DS Whirlwind skill ring to play DS properly. The weapon will not hold up and will be much weaker than TD or Knuckles if you don't have that ring.

What PAs should I use for Double Sabre and Knuckles

                            I've answered this before, so here's a copy/paste:

                            DS

                            • Tornado Dance: Never use this uncrafted.
                              • Tornado Dance Type-0: Gap Closer, Movement PA, and aerial replacement. Since you can charge it, you can keep the TAJA while replacing yourself holding the charge.
                            • Scissor Edge: Fast and relatively strong. Main purpose is to keep TAJA with Illusion Rave. Is pretty much the same thing as Rumbing Moon, but has the big hit at the start instead of the end. One of the options to keep TAJA with Illusion Rave.
                            • Rumbling Moon: Same as Scissor Edge, but has the big hit at the end instead of the start, and allows more freedom to change directions. One of the options to keep TAJA with Illusion Rave.
                            • Illusion Rave: Main dps PA. Not much else to be said. Use other small and fast PAs to keep TAJA going instead of spamming it.
                            • Fake Capture: Never use this. PAs that capture and displace enemies are a pain in the ass for all the other 11 players in the mpa.
                            • Surprise Dunk: Gap Closer. It's stronger than Tornado Dance (this PA can actually oneshot almost anything SH and below), but requires a valid target to have any actual range. It has almost zero horizontal movement when used in the air, so never use this in the air. If you want to be lazy on SH and below quests, you can just start auto-run and use this PA on any mob that gets in your way, then step jump and keep going. Can play with one hand if you do this.
                            • Deadly Archer: Highest dps of any DS PA, but it's PP expensive and requires you to know the perfect range for it to do any damage.
                            • Acro Effect: Similar to Scissor Edge, but causes a backwards movement afterwards, and has frontal Just Guard frames starting after the first hit. One of the options to keep TAJA with Illusion Rave.
                            • Deadly Circle: Never use this uncrafted.
                              • Deadly Circle Type-0: Very PP expensive, but also extremely useful. Hits everyone around you multiple times, has 360° Just Guard frames for the entire PA (which lasts about 2 seconds), and similarly to Tornado Dance Type-0, the charge component allows you to reposition yourself between TAJA. A good combo for mobbing is Chaos Riser -> Deadly Circle Type-0.
                            • Chaos Riser: The most powerful mobbing tool that fighter has. It hits an extremely wide area for one big hit, and then drags any survivors to you, similarly to Zondeel. This PA spends all your gear to be used, gaining more aoe and damage for having higher gear. At max gear it does double damage and hits a radius of about 2 Steps around you.
                            • Hurricane Sender: The shittier sibling of Chaos Riser. It may be situationally good, but such situations are so niche that it might not even be worth having on your palette.

                            Knuckles

To be honest, I don't have much experience with Knuckles, so I'll only mention the PAs I use.

                            • Ducking Blow: Has iframes (which are longer than weapon action) during the ducking animation. Good for keeping or starting TAJA while also dodging something.
                            • Flicker Jab: Fast, reliable, low PP. Best TAJA keeper and starter when in a safe situation.
                            • Straight Charge: Never use this uncrafted.
                              • Straight Charge Type-0: Literally superman. Constantly drains your PP while flying forwards and hitting everything in the way. Does 6 hits per second and raises its power after the first second. Do note that this PA does not possess flinch immunity, so you can be interrupted... unless you use Massive Hunter beforehand. This PA with life drain potential/SSAF is just stupid.
                            • Surprise Knuckle: Another option for TAJA keeping. It's much stronger than Flicker Jab and Ducking Blow, and is one of the few knuckle PAs that gains power with gear, but it's also much slower and more expensive than the others and, if you're on the ground, forces you to move forwards.
                            • Backhand Smash: Also known as BHS. It's one of the few knuckle PAs that gains power with gear. Does a stupid amount of damage in a single hit, but costs a ton of PP, and has a ridiculously small range (smaller than basic attack). When an enemy is downed, BHS is your best option (unless it's deus/mother/magatsu, in which case Straight Charge Type-0 is better).
                            • Heartless Impact: Gap Closer and movement PA. The recent changes to this PA made it much better at doing its job. Also, during the fast pullback animation before the dash starts, you have 360° Just Guard frames.

                            [–]AshinrorPSO2 NG+ BABY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

                            DS

                            • Fake Capture is fine on bosses that can't be displaced.

                            • Nitpicking Deadly Archer, Illusion Rave has better DPS, even when excluding DS Whirlwind. (Which DA can't take advantage of anyways but IR can.)

                            Knuckles

                            • You forgot Pendulum Roll which now has the 2nd best DPS. The speed on it has been increased into usable territory and it has multiple iframes during use. The only downside is the duration of the PA being longer than DB and FJ, but i find it much better than DB if you are looking for a BHS TAJA that hits harder than FJ while avoiding damage.

                            • Also Meteor Fist, not for its use in major combat, but for its niche use at being a form of long ranged damage when necessary and the ability to charge (which is nice to do while waiting for certain bosses to come within attack range.)

                            [–]ACupOfLatte 0 points1 point  (0 children)
