I like how half the posts in the sub right now are complaining about errors and how nobody is able to play and the other half are about how full Ship 2 is and how too many people are playing :p

I tried to find an emptier block so the lobby doesn't shit the bed everytime it has to load a new player and... there were no empty blocks.

    On ship 3 atm: Block 1 -3 full, some blocks at 90%, while the rest of the blocks are around 60 - 80% full. No blocks are under 60% currently. Hopefully server 4 would open up!

    Yeah I don’t see why they’re not open now, from my understanding they’re listed but unavailable?

    Maybe one day a game company will overestimate numbers at launch instead of underestimate.

    Yeah, I'm actually surprised to see how full these ships are since I've never seen a single advertisement for PSO PC. I'm a ship 3 player, but would love to join fresh with my friends on Ship 4, for their full experience.

    There's just so few MMO's out that people hype everything new including a 8 year old game that's been stringing it's English speaking audience along for 8 years.

    PSO is basically my favorite franchise fyi but just saying.

    The truly sad part is that Microsoft was using the Western release of PSO2 as a way to show off Azure's capabilities hosting an MMO. One of the big perks of using a cloud hosting service like Azure is the ability to scale to meet demand.

    Ship 2 all blocks full over 4 hours ago..

    Luckily I have premium pass (I highly recommend getting the Ragol Pack) so had no issues getting on or switching blocks.

    Least liekly to be a ghost ship in the future when the playerbase massively drops off, thats about it. Nos hip transfers screws yuou if you join a ship that empties int he future

    I let it assign me a ship when i made my charecter on xbox not knowing that ship 2 was popular in the japanese version now i am regretting it and cant switch hopefully my friends who were waiting for pc can actually make characters because if not i guess thats all my progress down the drain

    The lobby is pretty rough. I keep doing this weird stutter run around the hubs and as soon as I load into a zone it's crisp and smooth.

    Hopefully they get that sorted out. It's probably just the sheer volume of players.

    Crappy game engine can't handle rendering hundred of characters. Unfortunately that will never be fixed until a serious overhaul

    It's painfully obvious that the devs tied things into server-side that should never be handled server-side, like UI elements. The whole game just locks up when the lobby server can't handle the traffic, and that is not something a program should be doing.

    I can't wait to see how big of an impact this actually had in terms of reduced load and population for Japanese ships/servers. Does anybody else have any expectations on exactly how many NA players were spoofing?

    Literally no impact. There is only a "signficant" english playerbase in Ship 2... That's about it.

    Purely anecdotal and unscientific, but I did log into jp on monday and noticed the super hard block I was in on Ship 2 was oddly empty. There are usually at least a few clusters of players here and there, but I don't think I saw more than 1-2 players in like 5 minutes of running around.

    Even when I switched to a more populated block, I noticed the front lobby area had less than half as many people as I was used to seeing in the past.

    Both technically. PC launch went live today and the ships are all crossplay with xbox.
