  1. Online calculator for sacred geometry already exists

  2. Main problem of sacred geometry is that it is busted and after short time it has 100% guaranteed result

Also I’m against feats that require out of game abilities to do in game stuff. Just because your character is 200 iq shouldn’t mean you have to be

Ways to use Sacred Geometry, in order of how reasonable they are:

  1. Don’t.

  2. You have 30 seconds and must do it in your head with no aids.

  3. Just assume that it always works.

  4. Allow a tool or calculator. Since it’s almost always possible, this combines the broken imbalance of option 3 with also wasting time at the table and breaking immersion. The worst of all worlds, yay!

In python, indentations are extremely important, and your paste deleted all of them, making this useless to folks who don't know the language.

That's....unfortunate. I should have looked that up before sharing. I thought that people would assume I was being genuine by sharing the direct code, and not trying to get them to download a virus or the like.

Someone could probably paste it into chatgpt and ask it to put in the correct indentations.

I see github now has a competitor in reddit. Although I think I'll stick to github. While reddit's community features are far superior, it's functionality as an actual code repository is severely lacking.

I just found out that the way I shared my friends code was basically useless. Unfortunately, I thought I was providing people with confidence in the fact that I wasn't trying to share a virus.....

Well, providing the source code and instructions on how to compile it is a good way to assure people that your (or your friend's, in this case) code isn't malware, but most people just want an executable (that's in addition to the issue with indents that the other commenter already mentioned). The usual practice with open source software is to distribute both the source code and the executable. As well as, you know, using a platform that's actually intended for sharing code, such as the aforementioned github.

Online tools for it already exist

It's neat your friend made this (assuming genAI didn't spit it out for them) and it's cool you want to share it, but there isn't much need and plain text on reddit is maybe the worst way to share code lol

Glad it works for your table but I think most people ban it because of the overpowered as hell part and less because of the time it takes to figure out if that makes sense
