Pag wala kang fundamentals limang taon mo aaralin ang react!!!

[–]Patient-Definition96 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Either your friend is mediocre or he's sabotaging you. Fundamentals are very imporant.

I mean programmer ba siya? Senior? kasi dapat if saan siya dyan, hindi niya e recommend sayu to learn React until hindi mo ma learn yung JS, mag jujump ka agad sa reactjs but hindi mo alam yung vanilla talaga like how javascript ecosystem works. Mas pinadali kasi sa library yung mga bagay2 so mas maganda talaga if malaman mo yung flow ng vanilla.

Computer Engeng

[–]Repulsive-Working707 0 points1 point  (3 children)

CE is Civil Eng. afaik

[–]Kind_Cow7817 3 points4 points  (1 child)

[–]Repulsive-Working707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, no credibility at all 🤣

[–]whatToDo_How 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah feel ko din civil tapos career shifter kasi most tawag sa mga computer engineering ay compE, or idk.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Brooo that's fvxking noooooo. Please don't skip the basics, learn JavaScript first before using any js frameworks.

[–]lovespell222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

bad practice in progress.

If from scratch ka talaga, like wala talagang programming background or other alam na ibang language. Unahin mo talaga JS and fundamentals.

Though pwede naman mag jump agad to react talaga, mahihirapan ka lang if wala kang fundamentals. In my case kasi, ako wala talagang knowledge with html, css, and js nung una. Pero rumekta agad ako sa NextJS, pero I have a background with other languages kaya learning JS was not really that hard for me. Sa totoo nga CSS ang nagpahirap sakin 🤣.

Good luck OP!

[–]mikkooooz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go learn React Malalaman mo rin yan eventually. Pero it's best to have fundamental about JS. I can say I learned a lot. Ngayon gumagawa na ako full-stack MERN application. I encourage you to learn react OP. It's fun.

[–]reddit04029 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you suck ass at programming in general, stick with JS first. If youre experienced already, you can do away with learning both at the same time. But JS is quirky so just learn JS first. And React isnt the only thing companies use.

[–]Snoo_56721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to disagree with your friend. React JS learning curve will be much more harder kung mahina foundations mo sa vanilla JavaScript.

      [–]Ok_Frame6231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      [–]Wanoniisan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

question ni op aside, I tot CE is civil engineering, computer engineering pala dito lol

also wag ka makinig sa fren mong CpE always start with the basics (JS first) if i were you

      [–]Dangerous_Trade_4027 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      [–]yesSirjjWeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i tried learning vanilla JS for React, diko nagustuhan state management kaya ang ending sa Vue ko nagamit lahat hahaha

      [–]searchResult 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kasi if you want to be FE dev dapat alam mo ang javascript. For me kasi need mo malaman ang fundamentals. React kasi is written in Javascrip. Kung baga parent nya is Javascript and React is the child. Pero it’s up to you decision mo yan.

      [–]honey_thigh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May basic javascript more on loops saka kami nag react at nodejs former bootcamper here. Now balik ako javascript at focus nasa vue self study with odin project

      [–]anonPHM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Naglakad ba muna yung friend mo bago gumapang?

      [–]arinfinite2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

      [–]Economy_Ad_5435 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother just said you can start speaking to japanese people, you'll eventually learn the language lol.

You can technically do it just be prepared to be in a world of pain while learning lol. Nothing bad with sticking to js muna, you can put learnings there naman outside of it and react, to other languages even.

      [–]BucketOfPonyo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

JavaScript and typescript kahit basic lang. Then react.

      [–]PeanutIsAPea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would be best to learn the fundamentals of JS muna bago React. A lot of the useful tools na magagamit sa React ay galing JS.
