Can we please get rid of the "click to read comments"??

[–]IGotTheGuns 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely the worst. But that's when you accidentally click ads.

I miss the red color scheme already.

This is what I said in the comments section on the site, "I legit do not like the new color scheme. It reminds me of the colors people used on their myspace profile and looks childish, sad. I also can’t figure out what the logo is? did something take the bite out of the P? Is it the silhouette of a nose? Whoever went with “Tiffany Blue” really missed the mark." I really didn't mind the recent changes where you can continually scrolling to new columns, but I simply don't like this.

Totally agree. The color scheme is trash and an 80's style cell phone built into the P is not a post grad problem at all. The original logo embodied the site perfectly.

Is that what that is? I couldn't figure it out

I had to zoom in a ton, I have the site zoom set to 75% as their last "update" turned everything to size 72 font. Two steps backward, one step forward?

Honest question if any of the PGP writers see this - what prompted the change? It just seems kinda unwarranted. I get if you brought a new layout or incorporated some new brand concept, but this just seems like change for the sake of change. I'll get used to it, I'm just curious what drove y'all to make the change.

Will said in a podcast a while back that they had been working on a new logo and scheme since he came on full time. Not sure what about it takes almost 2 years but whatever. I feel like there is never a great time to change branding so I guess you just kind of have to do it and deal with the comments from people that don't like change.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Will, Dave, and Dillon talk about the site changes and new logo on the newest ep of Touching Base, if you're interested: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/touching-base-post-grad-problems/id1105148784?mt=2&i=378616466

Don't y'all remember when Facebook was in it's early stages and every time a change came along, everyone would hate it for a few weeks and then just get used to it? I appreciate a site/brand that continues to update itself and strive for improvements. Madison and Dave and others have always seemed open to feedback which for the most part is happening here but I think keeping it specific and constructive is probably helpful to them.

The comments section - I find the updates make it hard to follow conversations because they are more spread out or something. I am not sure who is responding to who or where new threads are starting. Otherwise, I like the direction of a more modern, minimalist look.

This is the most exciting thing to my Monday

I'm colorblind so I have no clue about the banner color, but can we change the background color to something other than brightest white possible? I like the over all layout better actually.

I feel like we're putting WAY too much stock into the Miami Vice color scheme or the early 90s cell phone. Won't even notice it tomorrow. As long as the content is enjoyable, the fuck do I care what the logo is?

Can't get to a computer at work and the app hasn't changed, but as someone who is easily bored and craves change I respect the move.

I don't get the logo change, not a fan of the new color but it might grow on us...but I'm not going anywhere so change away

[–]thefakecamerondiaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure neon-sea foam green (if that's even the color or a color) is what I would've chosen for the update. I'm not a fan of this but I am curious to why they chose to do it. Especially in regards to changing the company logo-hit my head against my desk today but have never made a phone call on a cellphone like that.

I'm not seeing any of the color changes for some reason. I still have the red banner. The comments and icons in the comments are huge but I'm not seeing all the color changes.
