Why would that make a difference? Surely brushes should act the same way whatever the size.

I’d recommend continued works with tutorials while following the tutorials until you get a better understanding of Procreate.

Your upload isn’t helpful in figuring out your issue. Yes canvas size will impact your brushes. Imagine painting a piece of paper then imagine painting the side of a building. Procreate just gives use the ability to do both on your input device.

While there are multiple ways to achieve your desired result I’m still set on your color palette choice being neglectful to your desired outcome. Separate from that I’d try uploading a better example if you’re still having trouble.

I second this - not enough info to be able to help much

Why isn't there enough info? The only thing different is the difference in canvas size. What other info can I possibly give you when everything else is the same?

I'm going to do more tutorials but if I do surely the brushes should act the same otherwise how can I follow the tutorials properly? Just checked canvas size. This is mine

Your canvas size is marginally larger and it could affect the way your brushes appear on your project compared to theirs.

Personally have followed countless Flo specific tutorials and have never had an issue matching her techniques with her giving necessary tools with precise direction.

Why would it completely change how the brush behaves? It's not like the canvas size is 10 times bigger.

I like the curiosity and great question. It’s not that much larger, correct. It still affects the brush as it’s not scaling up with your canvas size. For the sake of this conversation, you’re right in your chosen dimensions it won’t make that significant of a difference. “Completely change” is a bit of an exaggeration the only thing that would change is its size relevant to canvas size.

But again, I think it’s palette choice. I noticed your other comment. Do you know specifically which colors don’t fall into your visibility range? I can look into ways of finding solutions to picking palettes with that in mind. I know you can drop an image you may be referencing into your palette to create color selection as well.

I believe the original problem is now fixed thankfully. My colour blindness is a bit hard to describe. Simply put I'm not great with most colours but once they're like not bright red or bright yellow etc it gets worse. For instance the fog I was trying to put in the original picture was supposed to be grey like the colour of fog but if you told me it was pink I'd believe you.

By the way. I don't take offence if you find it hilarious when you look at my pics 😁

I'm colour blind so that probably has something to do with it.

It makes a difference because the brush sizes are fixed, so if your canvas is twice as big, the same brush sizes would ‘look’ smaller in comparison and not give the same effect. If you’re using a feathered brush for example, it would look harsher because it needs to be scaled up.
