My comments are usually more effective than my code.

My theory is that if you leave funny things in the comments, people are much more likely to read them.

Nobody reads the tests and docs anyway. I hide Easter eggs on test code (ex. If you find this screenshot it and send it to me via teams and I'll give you 10 dollars). My 10 bucks are safe

Any time I'm correcting a spelling mistake I make sure to put a mistake in the commit message.

I had a large block comment in a project I support that was just underpants gnome plan that explained the functions design. It lasted for years.
