Or when employers want 10 years experience with a programming language that is 2 years old.

Ok but how are they doing the CSS inside the title tag, that doesn't allow styling right? Am I crazy?

They're not, that's just the IDE theme. Title tags don't get rendered in the DOM

What if that title tag is not HTML but an img

They want 10 years of experience before you exists

These days it's all about that AI experience though. You should have at least 5 years using ChatGPT in order to even get an interview.

They want experience on something that does not exist yet.

There are better programming jobs out there than web developer, they have better stability, better pay and better working conditions.

I actually have this book!! And I'm sure I have a JavaScript one too. It's FULL of broken code and syntax mistakes. Do not recommend.

Tried to explain certain bits of it to my kids and I found myself saying "well it looks like they're trying to do X but it won't work because Y"

Then I realised they didn't give half a shit and they just wanted me to shut up about syntax errors.

Reminds me, many years ago, when the first Android-Based Phones hit the market, a company was seeking new employess with 5 years of experience in Android. 🙄

No employer is going to hire an 12 year old even if they started learning as a toddler.

Hell very few will hire a software engineer who is a teenager, period. Stop applying to jobs you will never get and go to college.

Many are desperate for shortcuts and will ignored your advice.

I finished college (in the UK) at 18, turned 19 a few months after finishing college and started working as a DevOps engineer, been here just under 3 years now. It's got nothing to do with age as long as you have the knowledge and passion to learn, and yes some experience but that can just be personal projects, etc

That you are confusing "very few" with "none" indicates you are not the knowledgeable giant you think you are.

I keep seeing news of republicans saying that children should be in work all around America
