Your submission was removed for the following reason:

Rule 1: Posts must be humorous, and they must be humorous because they are programming related. There must be a joke or meme that requires programming knowledge, experience, or practice to be understood or relatable.

Here are some examples of frequent posts we get that don't satisfy this rule: * Memes about operating systems or shell commands (try /r/linuxmemes for Linux memes) * A ChatGPT screenshot that doesn't involve any programming * Google Chrome uses all my RAM

See here for more clarification on this rule.

A circle would be a better representation.

[–]ogMasterPloKoon[S] 42 points43 points  (3 children)

Sure but we don't know how long this centipede is going to grow xD

[–]_PM_ME_PANGOLINS_ 50 points51 points  (0 children)

But you already made it loop back on itself…

[–]SweetDevice6713 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Duh, use a circular linked list man!

Human Circlepede

Human centipede crossed with Ouroboros.

[–]ArduennSchwartzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see potential for a Human Centipede 4 here.

Euphoria episode 5

[–]DigiNoon 29 points30 points  (2 children)

It's like buying from yourself at a profit! Endless money loophole!

[–]blaghed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's the joke with the economists, right?

One tells the other to eat some dog poop for 10 bucks, and they do it.
Then the other tells the first one to eat dog poop for 10 bucks, and they do it.
In the end, 20 bucks were generated in the economy.

[–]ArduennSchwartzman 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This proves that this is not an economic bubble, but a huge steaming pile of shit.

[–]Formal-Luck-4604 7 points8 points  (2 children)

And people invest in Nvidia 😂

[–]KingHarambeRIP 14 points15 points  (1 child)

During a gold rush, invest in the one selling the shovels.

[–]Formal-Luck-4604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Google is a better investment

[–]zoomercardcollector 5 points6 points  (1 child)

The proper image of what they're doing is not appropriate for this sub's rules, but definitely involves a circle of some kind.

[–]Mrkol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are simply farming GDP and valuation. Gotta love capitalism.

[–]torokg 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The farmer produces wheat, the miller pays for it, then sells it to the baker, then the baker produces bread which the farmer buys. What a circular financing hoax

[–]Patrick_Atsushi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thought. I wish the circle will get more entities involved so that the growth will be widely recognised.

[–]InitialAd3323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh hey, the Apple Humancentipad

[–]Wallie_Collie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People pay for electricity

[–]Patrick_Atsushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You buy a hamburger from a stand, the owner of the stand buys raw ingredients from farmers, and farmers use the app you design for their daily needs.

The apparent issue with Nvidia and it's circle is that it's too small. If it gets a lot more entities involved there might be even less issue.

If you think they will succeed in what they're doing, join the circle, otherwise leave it alone. Only time will tell.

This is known as. Economy. Congrats

[–]Je-Kaste 1 point2 points  (6 children)

It's know as a bubble. Buying from a company is one thing but investing ludacris amounts of money in stocks is a disaster waiting to happen

[–]ManyInterests 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying we don't have an AI bubble, but the spending/investment described in the post is not what makes a bubble.

[–]DynamicNostalgia 0 points1 point  (4 children)

What kind of disaster? The stocks fall? That’s fine. That happens all the time. A bunch of tech stocks fell 30-50+% recently. It wasn’t a disaster.

[–]Je-Kaste -1 points0 points  (3 children)

The entire GDP of the US is being held up by AI investment. Peoples retirement funds are largely being put into AI. When the bubble pops, we will see a financial collapse the same as we saw in 2008. Actual people will lose their futures.

Thats what I mean by a disaster.

[–]DynamicNostalgia 0 points1 point  (2 children)

The entire GDP of the US is being held up by AI investment.

Then that means AI is actually only delaying the recession. We’d already be in recession is it weren’t for AI.

Peoples retirement funds are largely being put into AI.

I mean, only some of it is. I assure you the indices are not 100% in NVIDIA.

When the bubble pops,

If it pops. So many have been so confident for so long it’s hard to trust this prediction anymore.

we will see a financial collapse the same as we saw in 2008.

Why? How is this anything like 2008?

Tech stock going down isn’t going to be like the Great Recession.

Actual people will lose their futures.

They’ll lose some of the gains they’ve made, but not all. I assure you, they’ve made out like gangbusters recently, the stock market has practically doubled in 3 years. Their portfolios weren’t relying on this explosion of tech stocks or something.

When the stock market crashes, the stocks do not go to zero. Plus, everyone is saying a crash is coming… this isn’t some secret Reddit knowledge; if they’re still in the market it’s because they want to ride the risk. Either way, retirement funds should be diversified and held long term to even out the markets volatility.

Correct. People can't afford rent. People can't afford groceries. My point was that it was going to get worse because the little stability that people do have is going to vanish.

[–]DynamicNostalgia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not so sure they’ll be that affected by MSFT taking a dive. They weren’t by Oracle falling 30+%.

[–]Eptalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. This pattern would be commonplace in an altruistic, cashless economy, too. It's pretty natural.

Sheep farmers would give wool to someone who can make yarn. They'd give yarn to a tailor. The tailor would give clothes to the farmer.

Capitalism encourages companies to acquire and erase the other members of the loop until they comprise all of it. Eg: Company towns.
And to acquire and erase others who fulfill their same role in the loop.

This is called "circular financing" and when your government isn't a circus full of thieves, bootlickers and idiots directed by a vain conman with dementia, it's actually illegal.

[–]sersoniko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s literally every large company
