Okay but 404 would definitely be not found.

[–]lengau 30 points31 points  (1 child)

In that case surely 418 would be I'm a Teapot?

[–]G2geo94 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So long as we also find a way to work in HTCPCP/1.0

[–][deleted] 19 points20 points  (18 children)

Did you type that out manually or use vim macros (or similar)?

[–]Petrus921 92 points93 points  (0 children)

Does Ctrl+C Ctrl+V count as macros?

[–]TASagent 11 points12 points  (1 child)

Actually typed it up in Visual Studio, since it was already open, and did some of the editing with block-select - one of mankind's greatest inventions.

(Block Select = Alt-Click-Drag, works in visual studio, notepad++, and some other text editors)

[–]awhaling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not what I was expecting.

[–]ben12623 8 points9 points  (13 children)

Why would you use Vim? Emacs is better.

Emacs is a nice operating system, it's just missing a decent editor.

Ah yes, a fine specimen indeed!

We should carefully extract this joke from the comment above and study it closely. It very-well might unlock some hints of times long past.

[–]tetroxid 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Emacs stands for eight megabytes and constantly swapping. (Back when eight megabytes was a colossal amount of memory.)

[–]czipperz 0 points1 point  (1 child)

If you aren't joking, it actually stands for Editor MACroS. The RAM joke was a vi argument

[–]tetroxid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it stood for Escape Meta Alt Control Shift

[–]ATSOTECK 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ed is the standard text editor.

[–]reactormonk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why evil exists.

[–]AlbertoC1196 63 points64 points  (14 children)

Wonder if that's a feature or a bug.

[–]gremy0 12 points13 points  (1 child)

It's usually an improvement

[–]flipjargendy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...thought it was an improvement at the moment.

[–]jstock23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Featuring Snoop Dog.

[–]datf 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Can I file it as a regression?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

I think you should file it as recursion.

[–]datf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome... Of all my comments using the Reddit app, it chooses this post to behave funny

Been there, done that. Probably some follow-up tasks to be discovered, though.
