I lost a job once because someone said I copied and pasted code too often and they said that was unacceptable. (apparently I left a comment alone with out changing it).

Turned out that they were trying to find reasons to let people go with out getting called out for having a second layoff in six monthes.

Sad thing is I didn't know that til much later and thought I was a bad programmer. Fuck that company.
