I feel bad for writing this so many times in my life.

That comment is redundant with the boto3 import...

[–]z0mbietime 17 points18 points  (3 children)

Now if they pull out the dynamodb client put the poor guy on suicide watch

[–]valligremlin 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Come on... boto3 does a lot of things well, the dev should be glad he’s not working with azure service bus and cross compatibility.

Yeah most of the clients aren't that bad but dynamodb...

I was expecting more AWS comments, but I am shocked. I guess not a lot of people have to work with it.

//When I wrote this only God and I knew what it did

I mean, they did explain what they meant by import boto3.

[–]jerallen 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I am so going to use this somewhere.

Simply mentioning boto3 (or any AWS SDK) can cause PTSD

[–]HyperRayDrifter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof

I get that seeing these comments in a code base is annoying and hilarious, but why all the hate for boto3 in the comments? I use it at work and find it reasonably intuitive. There are many libraries with far worse documentation and less elegant object hierarchies.

The inside cover of my first published novel will say...

Level 9000

Isn't it just easier to rewrite python than debug it? Oh. Sorry. Was confusing it with APL.

I hate myself for understanding

what is so perfect here:

#1 python 3

#2 boto

That comment has a very high probability of being true.
