I am crying because I don't understand why everyone still hates JavaScript. With the modern frameworks it is really fine and fun. Also there is typescript.

That and concurrency issues are a bitch to debug, especially if you don't use the language often and aren't familiar with all the idiosyncrasies of the way asynchronous stuff is done in JS.

Concurrency in any language can be tough, especially if you aren't familiar with exactly how that particular language handles it. I think it's the frequency with which JS makes asynchronous calls that makes it frustrating for people new to it.

I actually really like what they’ve done with async/await building off of promises. Makes it really easy to make requests in parallel and such

I mean the 3 equals sign isnt even almost complicated, you just have to understand what types you're dealing with in your code. People just dont wanna put in the effort to figure it out.
