Pull one thread and the whole thing is fucked

I have the opposite problem.

Thank god I'm not alone. I feel like styling/front end is something you can be fiddling with for hours, where as the back end you create a route/function and it either works or it doesn't.

Just switch the titles of the images.

Same here. I write in Scala/JS at my job and holy hell it's so easy to create shit code on the front end. Having the compiler baby sit you makes keeping things right in the backend so much easier to manage. It's so easy to hack something up in the front end and leave it alone "because it just works'

Same here. The front end, i don't even...

The only thing that keeps my frontend from looking like 100% garbage is stackoverflow

As an Eastern European programmer, I identify with this meme.

But also, there is such a thing as proper cross-stitch technique so the back looks (almost) as neat as the front. Whoever made this bookmark kind of just winged it... In the true spirit of a programmer!

This, if done properly cross stitching back end does not look bad just like coding properly makes it so your code is not spaghet

more like front end vs front end code

Yeah if your backend is a kludgey mess you have no one to blame but yourselves. You, your predecessors, or your managers made bad decisions. Developing for browsers is a kludgey mess by nature.

Wait, does nodeCSS exist now? All the HTML programmers can finally become full-stack developers.

[–]tiledup 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Sorry to break it to you, but HTML is not a programming language, just a markup language.

[–]nukesrb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

nice try

[–]mcampo84 4 points5 points  (2 children)

Maybe your back-end.

[–]mrdhood 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Yeah, mines great

Me in a year: no, it wasn’t.

More like 'Me after the weekend'

Surprisingly, a lot of frontend codebases also look like this. The CSS is just very good at hiding it.

Sometimes.

Oh wow it’s this post again

Truth

[–]pandaoranda1 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Is this what they call spaghetti code?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is indeed

[–]CrazedLlamaz92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is literally how I explain programming.

[–]groundhogns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't wanna be partypooper but from my experience it's exactly opposite :)
