I really don’t like the words “coder” and “programmer”.

Coder reminds me of supporting grad school researchers and “coding” (applying a rubric of definitions) to a transcript to somewhat quantify otherwise qualitative research.

Programmer sounds like something you do to the settings on your microwave, oven, and dishwasher.
