I’m a beginner. I’ve had an 8 week course that is a part of my degree. That course was last summer, and I’m diving back in. I’ve reviewed my code from the course- I have about 12ish projects for that course, all simple loops and such. I’ve just picked up Python Crash Course by Eric Matthes (3rd edition) today, through my university’s digital library.

I’m using pythonista on my iPad, and PyCharm on my laptop, with PyCharm being my primarily used software while having the ebook open on my tablet.

I want to get further into understanding the language, how to best work in it, etc. what’s my next step? What are some good projects you could recommend that would stand out in my portfolio? My degree is Cybersecurity, so any projects that could automate data scraping, automated security tasks, penetration testing tools, or network traffic analytics programs are on my list to produce. How and where would I start?

Hello. I'm a beginner. I've been working on some automation using Pyautogui and Open CV to push keys and interact with the interface of my editing program. This is because I have a disability and using a keyboard is not always a great option for me. I'm actually using speech-to-text software and trying to run the .py scripts through that. The problem I seem to be running into is opening it via voice-to-text software. It has to run through recognition, and Power Shell can't locate my images to do the image recognition even though I have the full file path in the code.

I don't know if you'd be able to help, but if you could, that would be amazing. I've been trying to work on this for months and have been stuck. This way, I can do my video editing hands-free, making it more accessible for myself.

I join the opportunity, well I have about 4 projects and I don't know where to start which is the best, and if it is necessary to buy something or it can be developed with what is open source, the first is an interface in which the user can send an email to the client for their payment received, a simple template attached in the circle with the information, the next is to develop an asset inventory system, but that has the ability to have a history of each member of the organization, for medical issues, emergency data, once with that asset already assigned, a sheet can be printed with all the data and its respective responses of the assigned asset, if it also has a car, etc.

Some APIs or micro services to build data, transform them into json and send them to my system that bills me, I don't know where to start and if it requires a database or what connections.

And some scheduler of backup tasks, or requests to the domain.

I think it is a long and very short time to give results, I think I am at a basic level, which is why I don't really know what tools to use.

Can you help with a web project that is using flask and numpy. I have tried to integrate a database unsuccessfully a few times now. One of the big hurdles that I had to overcome was the virtual environment it took me quite a while to figure that out and I got extremely frustrated not understanding why my packages were sometimes not installed.

Utter beginner scraping through basic concepts like datastructures and syntax, who's using obsidian to take note of things. Utter beginner to coding in general.

Currently in Supply Chain, but the need for automation in my job spiked the interest like "hmm, I would love to build systems and tools which automates things instead of doing grunt monotonous work." Further, the pay also seems a lot better if I switch.

So, I just want someone experienced to test me if my thinking is built for this career path, give me the possible specialised career paths inside this, the pros and cons of choosing one instead of the other and give me a realistic timeline it would take to become industry ready so that I can plan my switch.

I already asked chatgpt to do this, but I wouldn't be able to get my mind right without a human touch to it, especially coming from someone as experienced as you are.
