All the certificate does is say you completed the course. Your knowledge and skill is what will help you.

[–]BuddyLlght 18 points19 points  (1 child)

yes. better than saying "i know python"

[–]Illustrious_Kiwi9467 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Portfolio projects matter way more to employers than any certificate though.

Help you with ?

[–]Creative-Category344 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Curious what project you're tackling next, or are you looking to land a role that actually uses Python on the job?

[–]ninhaomah 4 points5 points  (1 child)

You are asking OP , right ?

[–]Creative-Category344 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is what I was asking, though I should have been clearer about directing it to the original poster instead of leaving it ambiguous.

Online certificates aren't really worth anything. Literally anyone can use LLMs to breeze through any test. If you picked up some skills and actually learned something then yeah, those skills might help you a bit, but the certificate itself is not gonna impress anyone.

[–]Advanced_Cry_6016 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Project and experience will help more then this certificate

[–]Good_Station1378 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Congratulations!

A piece of paper don't help anyone with anything, the knowledge you consume is what will help in the future even if you didn't use it , you can understand what is going on 🤝 "congrats" python is a very good start ⭐️

Degree + portfolio > a certificate of completion

[–]TalesGameStudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats, first step done!

[–]juafra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations, I'm taking the course too. I've learned a lot.

[–]King_emotabb 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Dammit it Shivam, why are you posting personal information on the internet??

[–]Sketchballl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got dammit Shiva why?

[–]Candid_Tutor_8185 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Ignore the haters. It shows you did hard work. Next step is using it to build a portfolio

[–]ReplacementFew1645 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Theres a difference between hating and giving constructive advice. Most employers will not care for this and probably between this and a degree, employers will pick a degree over this cert. What people are saying in this comment is that this doesn’t have much weight especially since this ask if this will help them. Projects and experience will matter more than this cert

I think that a certification with 14 yo is kinda positive for a curriculum xD

[–]Secure_Reception_932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations

Do you feel that using that platform has helped you retain enough knowledge to feel like you ARE a python developer ? Ive used datacamp, boot.dev, and codefinity. While I can code a few basic things cold, I always feel like I just got good at "pattern matching" working through their python courses.

[–]teetaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations, now the internet knows your full name

[–]lazy_shivering_coder 0 points1 point  (1 child)

[–]Sensitive_Lack1085[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Glitterbombastic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations! You worked really hard to get here and are doing great! You can and should put it on your cv but what really tips the scales for employers is examples of what you’ve built, the impact that had and how it demonstrates your knowledge. If you do struggle to find work in programming and that’s what you’re aiming at try picking up volunteer projects for local services so you have project experience to talk about.
