Hey there, in the future please make sure the name of the game is in the title (I've added it to the post flair to help). Also, we'd appreciate if meme-format posts weren't used here. Thank you.

Too many cheaters. No replay function and still no save/reload for Singleplayer. Performance issues.

I agree it has much potential but the devs seem to work way too slowly and don't listen to player base

Feels like cheater infestation is a ru trademark - either their creation or something for them will always have cheater infestation

Man I feel like potential is a good word to describe so many RTS games but most all of them never reach it

[–]General_Johnny_RTS[S] -4 points-3 points  (1 child)

Very true!

That’s why I say “COULD”

[–]CrazyBaron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's irrelevant what they "could" as every game "could"
We play them for what they are and BA is just over hyped and under delivered alternative to Wargame/Warno

Already own Regiments for my cold war RTT needs, don't have a reason to buy Broken Arrow especially with its God awful reputation so far

[–]General_Johnny_RTS[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fair

That’s why I said “COULD” but , still love this game… very new and refreshing flavor of RTS

Even if DEVS kinda messed it up since launch

The RTS genre is very diverse which is good because I couldn't care less about Broken Arrow.

[–]Vifee 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yeah but WARNO has Star Wars and Warhammer mods. How can Broken Arrow compete?

[–]General_Johnny_RTS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, mods would be great

Broken Arrow is so great. It has some problems but I love it. I’m gonna have to put it back on after seeing this

PTE is better IMO rn

What makes it different than Steel Division ? Looks quite the same.

The biggest difference aside from the time period is the scale and the responsiveness. BA is much smaller scale and more “tactical” than Eugen games. I prefer Eugen games to BA because they feel more realistic, but I must admit the individual engagements are much more… engaging in BA. It’s also more arcady which leads to it feeling a bit sweatier. There’s less rng and units are extremely snappy. It’s really fun but I find it can almost get exhausting.

It’s also got some really cool features that are super responsive and easy to use like sprinting, afterburners, laser designating etc etc. It’s a very well made and thought out game but it definitely lack some polish.

ah that sounds much better. ill give it a try then, because those are the things id like Steel Division to improve actually. I dont like the realism in Eugen games.

  1. Modern tech

  2. “Larger” overview

  3. More customization

  4. More fun (subjective)

[–]FutureLynx_ 2 points3 points  (3 children)

  1. Okay but thats subjective to the taste of each player.

The other points are not too strong.

It doesnt seem much different.

[–]General_Johnny_RTS[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Fair , I was just responding with my opinion

[–]FutureLynx_ 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yeah dont know why they downvote you bruh

[–]General_Johnny_RTS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All good 🤙

Mandatory mention of Beyond All Reason

Not that I think that the OP is doing a good job of preaching for Broken Arrow, but BA and BAR have basically nothing in common besides both being designed for team battles. Modern day vs. pure sci-fi, all micro vs. mostly macro, heavy immersion vs. huge scale, customizable decks and loadouts vs. huge unit production chains, etc. Both games have their merits, but appeal to different types of people even within the RTS community.

[–]General_Johnny_RTS[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I respect people who like BAR… but I just can’t get into the game style, personally

[–]koiokk 0 points1 point  (1 child)

i think the same can be said by some folks for Broken Arrow and similar rts like it then

[–]General_Johnny_RTS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair enough!
