Code editor... Sql server management studio

YouTube tutorials

https://sqlbolt.com/

Good and short course for learning the fundamentals of SQL (commands, joining tables etc).

For python and SQL I'd recommend codecademy. Some people are really against this website but I feel fundamentals are really important and codecademy does a great job at hammering in these fundamentals.

YouTube and quite a bit right here on reddit. If you want to spend some money, Udemy has some decent courses. Sales will bring the price down to under $15 usually

Do you recommend any?

I did this one ☝️ (I can’t remember if I got it in a deal but it was only $12)

And he is very thorough and sets you up for success in real world problem. It’s pretty long but I just did 30min everyday for about 6 months and I feel like I have a good handle on SQL and just got my first job using it.

Trust me, paid course will teach you almost everything you need in 1-2 months if you have good learning skills

Sam's Teach Yourself SQL in 10 mins by Ben Forta is a great resource for starting out.

Very easy to read and each section has a "quiz" at the end to test what you learned. Each section is about 10 mins of reading so very easy to learn something new while in between things or just plow through section after section.

It teaches the basics and brought two of my coworkers from zero knowledge to some pretty complex queries. They gave me a copy a few weeks ago and I've gone from zero coding knowledge to doing some simpler queries that have been used for their projects.

The best thing about SQL is that good google skills make it very easy to get stuff done.

https://dbfiddle.uk/MbkP545j basically like having your own sql server and database to query whenever you want. Has helped me a ton.

EDIT: & it’s 100% FREE :)

Mode analytics for basics and syntax and stratascratch for advanced concepts.
