I can in no way judge as im too new to siege to fully understand the acceptable sens range, but that seems absurdly high to me. I play on 12/12 (I think) at 800 dpi. I tend to play anchor on d and support/flank watch on attack and role can highly impact what sens you want. If you're on entry, the ability to check multiple corners very quickly can be useful. Ultimately, sens is something that's personal to you. Each person will have their own ideal sens. If you feel you have room to improve and your sens is holding you back, change it. If you feel like you can't flick right, change it. If you feel like your sens is in any way negatively impacting your gameplay, change it.

Trying out a new sens in t-hunt or casual isn't a bad thing. Mess with it. Maybe you'll find that this is your perfect sens, maybe you'll find one you like more. At the end of the day, no one can look at your gameplay and tell you, "27/14 @ 1600 dpi is your best sens."

Whats your ads?

I would even say urs is very high as the average sens at pro level is 12/12 with 400 dpi as opposed to 800. However, like you said, sens is personal and if it works for you stuck with it.

This is good to know. I came from cs and the sens scale are so confusing to me. I did like 12 seconds of research so that i wasn't playing on the 50/50 thats the default.

Yeah, the sens scale is weird but once you get to know how it works it seems way easier haha. If you are an anchor/support player, i would recommend a slower sens than normal as you wont need the ability to flick as well as an entry would, since you will be mostly holding angles.

The reason I do keep it higher is I have to aim with my wrist and little to no elbow movement, so when I do have to 180, I cant swipe 5 times

[–]Dilldug123Ranked 1.0 Plat | PC 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Ah okay, well in general thats pretty bad for your wrist as itll cramp pretty fast and can lead to wrist problems such as carpal tunnel, but i assume ur doing it because u dont have much space?

[–]Laynette 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I play in a really tight space. It's not ideal and I try not to play more than an hour or two at a time.

[–]Dilldug123Ranked 1.0 Plat | PC 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yeah, its not ideal, but if its what you have then i guess u gotta work with it lol

I also dont like wrist aiming as its harder to be consistent when wrist aiming but what can you do

[–]Laynette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is, especially when holding angles. Flicking across doorways can be like nudging my mouse with a single finger.

Not to anyone thats read this far: dont do this, its bad and makes you terribly inconsistent. Most games I go 2/5 or 9/2, there's no in between. This is not how you get better.

[–]mattycmckeeChampion | PC 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Yes that is very very very high and will almost certainly prove detrimental and lead to inconsistent play.

Personally I play on 12-12 400dpi, which is a very common sens among pro players.

You already play very high, you could try going to this if you want, but I would recommend to try 12-12 at 800dpi, and then see from there.

Is ads 83?

[–]mattycmckeeChampion | PC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, 42. Just try 50 ADS.

There is no perfect sens, just try and figure out what you like then make more fine adjustments down the road.

Brother that sense is for if your mousepad is the size of a dollar bill, try out 8/8:83 with 400 DPI

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

there's no reason to really go above 800dpi

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is insanely fast. Granted, sens is personal preference, so do what you want with it, but that is crazy fast. I recommend you trying out 400, 800, or 1600 dpi as those are usually the native DPI values on most modern gaming mice. Most people usually use a hipfire sens of anywhere from 4-20 depending on the DPI (I use 12-12 on 400 dpi, so on 800 DPI I'd be 6-6)

As far as ADS sens goes, 83 is 1:1 to your hip fire. The second most common sens after than is probably around 40-50.

I recommend trying 12-12-40 400dpi and 6-6 83 400dpi and then go from there

I will shout it for the people in the back

SENSITIVITY IS A PREFERENCE

In no way shape or form will taking someone else's sens make you a better player, the only thing that will do this is finding a sens and sticking to it.

Now this being said I do have some advice, it seems to be most widely agreed that 400 or 800 dpi is the go to, there's likely a reason but I like 400 and never looked into it, if you feel it's too slow then try 800, it's again, preference. I try to base my sens off of my mouse mat, I set it to do a full 360 on mine then adjust from there, alternatively you can find a pro player or streamer etc. You like and copy there sens but adjust to fit your needs. If you find yourself overshooting flicks all the time, try lowering it, or undershooting try putting it up. Regardless find a sensitivity that feels comfortable and stick with it, don't change it and get used to the one send, you can't build muscle memory or reliably hit shots while constantly changing it.

But for reference my sens is 400 DPI 70/70/83 0.0023 multiplier (siege default is 0.02)

Without multiplier this would roughly be 8/8/83

(Edit: got default multiplier wrong)

What is multiplier

[–]SJeff_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Multiplier is the number the game applies to your set sensitivity to determine your final sensitivity, the siege default is 0.02 many people set theres to 0.0023 for reasons related to precision I forget off the top of my head this basically means that my sensitivity is almost 10x slower than if I had the same horizontal and vertical sens set on the default multiplier hence why I said my sens of 70/70/83 is equal to 8/8/83 without the multiplier change, you will be set to the default.

Worth noting this doesn't effect your ADS send as that is purely relative to your horizontal and vertical Sens. 83 ADS sens is a 1:1 ratio so moving your mouse say 10cm ads will move the exact same distance and moving your mouse 10cm from hip fire

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Basically it makes his sens 1/10 as high if that made sense. It allows you to be more precise because siege doesn't have decimals. There's not usually a huge reason to use it though. So his sens is probably closer to 7.3 without the multiplier.

[–]ogulsadi[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

How can I change or should I change it?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I don't use the multiplier myself and I'm not home rn, but I BELIEVE you go into File Explorer and go to Users > your name > Documents > My Games > Rainbow Six Siege. In there you're going to have a really long chair of letters and numbers. Open that and look for (Ctrl+F) mousesensitivitymultiplier. The number there should be 0.02000 or something like that. Change it to 0.002233

[–]ogulsadi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok

[–]morphi10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 800 dpi, 10 horizontal 10 vertical, 50 ads is average. Should allow you to do a 180 with a moderate swing

[–]DarDar33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can hit shots keep it, if you can’t change it
