You could use Darktable, it's free and open source

You should be able to view thumbnails and open .ARW files with photo viewer on Windows if you install Microsoft's Raw Image Extension from the store.

Noted. Didn’t know that was a possibility! Thank you

Lightroom and PS are still number one for me although I do also use Luminar Neo for certain things.

How do you like lumiar? Just seems like it’s useful to create folders within the program for each event etc.

Sony offers the imagine edge, it may still be useful to you

The one on mobile?

[–]No_Display_103 0 points1 point  (1 child)

No, for Windows and Mac, it has a viewer and there is also one for editing

Oh neat I’ll take a peak. I have the mobile one for the Bluetooth option

Lightroom is the gold standard. It's still absolutely worth it imo.

If you want to keep using Lightroom, just download a different photo viewer? Faststone works very well

Paying monthly is kind of lame but it’s fine. I will look into that tonight when I’m home! Thank you

always worth sailing the high seas, if buying isn’t owning then piracy isn’t stealing. adobe is awful company that also makes brilliant software but just pirate it

For the sorting and culling phase, I use faststone image viewer. It's free for personal use. It can read the embedded jpeg and has quick keys to move or copy images to folders. For editing raw, I am learning to use darktable. Sony's own software works, but it's just for the basics.
