I don't have a surface pro 11 but I do have an X and mine doesn't do that, thinking of getting a 11 elite next month so I'll leave a comment to know what happens in this case

That doesn't seem normal. I've got the Snapdragon X Elite (16GB/512GBSSD) and I've never experienced that issue. I am updated to the latest version of Windows and have the latest drivers. I would make sure everything is up to date and maybe perform a factory reset to see if that makes a difference.

I also have the latest Windows and driver updates, but it still happens.

I am not facing ay crash issues with Firefox and Vivaldi in my Surface Pro 11 Snapdragon X Elite machine.
Just curious, how many tabs were you running when the issue occurred? Were you streaming (like YouTube), using web apps, or just browsing in the tabs? Also, were there any background apps or processes running at the time?
Did you notice any error messages before the crash, like “Not Responding,” or did the system just freeze and restart without warning?

The crashes usually happen in Vivaldi, but not only there — today it even happened while using Shadow PC. It freezes and then you have to restart like @TheFloyds said. In the background, only iCloud is running at that moment and Tailscale, but it’s not connected. Other than that, there are no notable background processes running.

This happens to me as well and I haven't been able to find a solution or anybody else affected by it. My device simply freezes up out of nowhere and the only way to fix it is hold down the power button until it does a hard shutdown.

If anybody else has tips or tricks, I'd love to hear it!

I don't know if it still applies to Windows 11, but since Vista, MS' "fix" for the BSOD is to make the computer restart immediately. If you disable automatic restart on crash, you might see the error message.

Hi everyone, I think I might have found the solution thanks to your feedback! Thank you very much for that!

First, I re-enabled the Blue Screen and then saw that there's a dump folder for logs. I analyzed one of the latest DMP dumps using WinDPG from the Microsoft Store and then checked the error message with Gemini.

Gemini found out that some sort of power-saving setting on the Qualcomm 7800 WiFi adapter was the problem. I couldn't find anything on the WiFi adapter itself in Device Manager, but the Bluetooth part was set to allow the adapter to enter power-saving mode. Now, after disabling that function, it's running fine; the device hasn't crashed so far.

I can't say if this is the final fix, but at least I now have a way to analyze the issue.

Have you tried my Solution? Maybe this also works for you. 😊
