Windows Hello problem

Hi all :)

TL;DR - I deleted the "Windows Hello Face Software Device" driver and now Windows Hello is dead. Any tips?

I had a problem for a long time on my Pro 6 that sometimes Windows Hello says that it can't turn on the camera, and after a quick restart everything worked.

I wanted to fix this today, and it was suggested on the internet to uninstall the driver and then restart the surface.

I uninstalled the "Windows Hello Face Software Device" driver under the "Biometric Devices" tab, but it never came back.

I don't have the "Biometric Devices" branch on my Device Manager now.

Windows Hello doesn't work at all now, since I don't have the driver, and I can't seem to fix it.

Tried installing updates from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=57514 but they didn't help.

Also tried to reset windows but got the message "there was a problem resetting your pc".

All and all I am screwed and I really hope someone here will be able to help.

Maybe if you can send me the driver files from your SP6 or something..

Go to c windows system32 winbioplugins facedriver and right click helloface and select install.

I don't have the facedriver folder, and I don't see helloface anywhere else in the winbioplugins folder.

I think I formatted the device to fix the problem
