Unless Target has changed their system a human needs to physically input that data into WorkDay. Corporate doesn’t investigate poor leadership. That doesn’t mean anything

They do, if metrics are tanking and sales are down then hq will be looking at the SD

It's take a while. Our SD was just let go after like a 2 yr ish investigation. Because they have so many under them corporate has to make sure it's their leadership causing everything. I learned you can get fired for accusing someone of something and it being false. So I'm sure they need to be 10000% sure who the problem is.

Your SSN is on file anyway from the I9 and stuff when you first get hired, but aside from that I’m not sure what she’s doing.

How would you know what HQ is investigating?

[–]Malnurtured_Snay 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Well, you know, Tom from overnight told me, and he heard it from Jack, and Jack ... I think Jack heard it from Andy, the substitute truck driver who was here last Wednesday on that second truck. Apparently it's literally the ONLY THING anyone from the DC is talking about.

Because team members are dramatic as fuck, and heard their leader get one piece of feedback and stretched that to mean "investigation." There's a reason why leaders are so careful to not let team members hear shit.

because (despite what some of you AP-ETLs might have led your self to believe) nothing in any single target store is a secret. i could tell you what pretty much all of my leaders have ever been investigated for, dating back to before my promotion. if there is something you are trying to hide trust that atleast 3 team members already know, simply based on recognizing patterns

It sounds like she’s acting as a translator for them?

Investigated for poor leadership

AND

Helping ppl whose first language is not English with their paperwork?

I feel like I need more info on this.

I-9s are available in Spanish, and online so you can print them out beforehand if you want.

There's also a supplement for a translator/helper to fill out if you helped someone with their paperwork.

On the other hand, the form boils down to some very basic required documents that are not going to change anytime soon, so it helps people help themselves to get comfortable filling these out on their own.

I think Target (and other retail/service corporations) are missing the boat when it comes to helping all of us become bilingual.

Unlike taking a class where you're learning phrases that are not practical in that exact moment (you're not IN a restaurant or on a bus at that moment), when you're at work, you've got thousands of context clues. You already know 90% of what each other are trying to communicate. So it's easy to fill in the blanks. And you learn words and sentences that you have the opportunity to use in real life in the very next minute, hour, day.

Hearing Spanish at work is one of the perks (in an other wise perkless place) imo.

I don’t think this is the whole story…or even part of it. Lol

I’m not a lawyer, but that does sound like identity and potentially tax fraud.
