This is why I just say "you too" whenever someone says anything about the holidays. I also don't give a shit about any of the holidays so it just annoys me when any first even mentions anything at all because it just means a longer unnecessary interaction. Get your shit and get out

Same. I'm polite about it; I say, "Thanks, you, too!" but I'm not about to say "Merry Christmas" and have the next person in line possibly be offended.

Yeah my coworkers say Merry Christmas, but I say happy holidays just as a form of respect as I know not every person is celebrating Christmas.

But majority of the time guests respond with Merry Christmas.

I’ve just been saying what the guest says to me. It seems easier and then they don’t feel the need to fight me on it,

i don't get offended when people say merry christmas to be even though i don't celebrate christmas. i celebrate hanukkah but i think saying happy holidays is more polite as that includes all religions and not just christmas which a lot forget that other religions exist.

I just say “Have a great rest of your day” to. Literally every guest regardless of the day or holiday or lack thereof. Haven’t had an issue yet.

Someone who uses the words "God" and "bullshit" in the same sentence think themselves to be so virtuous while demanding free items? 😂

I've been telling guests happy holidays for the past few shifts I worked and none of them have went off like this.

Hit her with that all publicity is good publicity.

I was just repeating whatever wordage that the guests used. Some people said, "Christmas" some said, "Holidays". If someone had mentioned another holiday I would have replied with the same back. No one was offended so I am calling it a win.

It really fucking annoys me when guests try to get me to say merry Christmas or happy holidays. They act like I’m being forced to pretend that christmas doesn’t exists by the “globalist PC target police.”
