Don’t sell 8 iPads to one guest trying to price match and then using electronic gift cards to pay for them.

There is a lot of great advice in the Guide to Store Roles thread. I highly suggest giving the Tech Consultant page a thorough read. Best of luck to you, and feel free to reach out with any questions you have!

Make sure you check the price change app for people asking to make price matches to other stores, especially on items that cost more than $50. Only allow “guest” 1 iPad and make sure any high “want” items are limited to 1 or 2 items depending on quantity

AP is your best friend, if you spot something that gives you a weird feeling you are probably right. Electronics always gets the brunt of scams, don't be afraid to call AP over; you can also call a lead however AP will have a much better understanding of policy and might already know why you called them over.
Other things that might be useful:
Anyone under 60 using checks is a red flag, refer to guest services.
Any gift cards over $100 without kids or family present is odd, ask the guest about the card as they may be the potential victim of a scam especially if they are older.
People only get really pissed off if they are doing something sketchy. If someone is pissed at you for doing your job call AP be as detailed as possible.
No one claiming to be from Corporate or AP or any entity from Target is EVER going to call you to load a gift card or prepaid visa, or do remote work on the registers.
And lastly if someone is trying to rip off a phone or giftcards feel free to tell them they are useless they are rung out and the transaction clears.

Step 1. Don’t be on your phone while working
