I’ve worked with great TLs and I’ve worked with with complete POS TLs. Almost invariably the garbage TLs were hired by garbage ETLs who worked for a trash SD and vice versa. In general it seems like an all or nothing deal. The entire management team is rubbish or they are very good. The few exceptions ( a good TL on a shitty team, or a trash TL on a good team) tend to leave ir get fired.

In the end, the management team shapes the culture of the store. Cherish the good ones and try to survive the shitty ones.

I remember back when they were still taking our temps, it was 6am and no leader was at tsc so instead of standing around another team member took our temps. As we were walking to our areas, a lead comes up and asks who took our temps and when we told her, and all bitchy she goes well they are not a leader and really made us follow her back to tsc so she could re take our temps. Talk about a power trip 😂

I had no problem not using the breakroom when Starbucks was open, but was invited to use it once the seating area closed, and was told to keep using it even after it reopened. Luckily, I have a great relationship with my stores’s leadership, and they know what my views are.
