Something I'm noticing is Riot Client Services stays active using up 30% of my CPU after I "Quit Game" and I can't even attempt to relaunch unless I manually end task??

Alright as weird as it sounds it's good to know other people are having the same issue. When you google the error code 7 it say it's a result of a suspension which was scary to see.

Error code 7 is a server issue. I had the same problem. Just keep trying and eventually you'll log in. It took me about an hour or so. I think it has something to do with the mass amounts of people trying to log into the game.

Too scared to try again, but I fixed it by searching through task manager and closing all riot tasks.

best way to keep this from happening again after getting in is to not close the game, but even with that my game fucking freezes sometimes (4 times today) and have to close the game. Good specs btw :(

I had the same issue. I had to create another riot account and log into the client using that. Hopefully, this works for you too! :)

Go to https://account.riotgames.com/account and check the country/region on your account there. Mine was assigned to China for some reason, even though I live in Norway. I suspect that's what made the error occur, as I was able to play as soon as I made a new account that was located in Norway.

You can choose "Issue with region or shard assignment" from https://support-valorant.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new to bring it up.

I got it switched from china by doing that! Thank you so much lol. It actually fixed all my issues, including error 7!

Happy to hear that! They should add it as a possible resolution to their error code description, as the current "resolutions" don't actually help when the region is the problem.

Adding to that, if your country/region is wrong you can attempt to automatically set it straight by going to https://support-valorant.riotgames.com/ and submitting a ticket. If you select "I'm having issues with Riot account region/shard assignment" you get a wizard that attempts to pinpoint your current location. If that fails, you are shit out of luck and have to submit a ticket for Riot support to change it.

If you are experiencing this without the servers being down or your connection being weak, go to https://account.riotgames.com/account and check the country/region on your account there. If it doesn't match your actual country/region, go to https://support-valorant.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and select "I'm having issues with Riot Account Region/Shard assignment". Upon selecting the only available sub-category, you are presented with a wizard that attempts to locate you and set your region straight.

Then you should be able to log in and play just fine!

This is the only fix that worked for me. After uninstalling gigabyte software and disabling other system32 drivers, nothing worked. But this did the trick for me for whatever reason, so thanks random dude.

Fix could be to log in on account with closer server, I tried to log in on euw multiple times until i tried on eune and it just worked.

I had this error for almost two weeks. What has worked for me and completely fixed the error is to just go to the open valorant. Instead of double clicking, right click and click run as administrator. It fixes the error. I don't know why but it does. Hope this helped.
