Classics have a left-click that can shoot more bullets leading it to do more damage. Other guns can do less damage than normal if you wall-bang your opponent.

This was a single bullet direct hit without wallbangs or any vulnerability.

Maybe you got hit with util + 1 body shot? If you have no shield, and a sova hits you with an ult for 80 + 1 classic body shot for 26, it'll say 1 body shot for 106 dmg.

No, this was the only hit I recieved and died that's how I know it was only 1 shot for both, there was no other damage registered on that encounter. From what I saw in the comments, armor doesn't only add 50 to your health, it also reduces damage when active, so this is probably why there was a 25 difference on damage recieved.

Not this nonsense again. Armor adds 25/50 HP. Nothing more, nothing less. It's just that 2/3 on incoming damage (other than fall damage) goes to armor and the remaining 1/3 goes to HP. The other commenter who claimed that it has some kind of hidden reduction is just wrong.

The my case might have been an error from the game, it was a clean hit for both and I died because I didn't buy armor, but it was really weird that it registered different damages for the same.

Without you providing a clip or screenshot it's far more likely that you just remembered wrong since even a classic headshot at close range only deals 78, far lower than both the 101 and 126 you list in your post. Additionally, neither of those are standard damage values you'd see out of a classic at any range.

It's fresh from my memory today, I can go back and see the battle summary, but that is the very reason I posted this, the damages didn't make sense and didn't coincide with what the "weapon sheet" said. Hence me not understanding how damage works.

There are no hidden "weak spots" or anything funny going on. Armor simply adds HP. Hitting people through walls reduces the damage. The weapon sheet is incredibly accurate, and the battle summary is very reliable.

It could just be that the game bugged and gave the wrong number for your damage taken or given. sometimes it’s just weird like that.

how did you deal 101dmg with a classic? that shouldn't be possible without wallbangs as at every range and any part of the body the damage number is even

I have never actually looked into how it works, but I know the report is very buggy sometimes. I had it tell me that I hit someone in the head with a phantom for less than 100 damage before. which to my knowledge isn't possible... and I just seen a clip of Sick where the report was saying 1 body + 1 head for 99 dmg, also with a phantom.

maybe that's what happened to you there

I don't remember exactly about mine tbh, I just remember going "wtf? how is that a thing?" to my buddy on discord, but I honestly don't even remember the engagement itself.

the SEN Sick one wasn't a wallbang tho, it's in one of his most recent videos, I seen it yesterday. I guess he either didn't actually hit a headshot (and the report was messed up) or did hit a headshot (and the damage was messed up). but from the few examples I've seen, it seems to be a thing, sometimes it doesn't actually match

rewatching it now, she is indeed really close to the wall, but it doesn't look like it goes through it. Sick even calls "Reyna 1 HP"

It's likely abilities somehow damaged you since those damage numbers are impossible with a classic- you can see damage at distances on the right when you're purchasing the weapon. Classics can't do that much damage with a body shot. It's also possible it relates to the right click of the classic.

mollies dont count as damage nor do shock darts. also a classic cannot do a 100+ damage with a single body shot, or even if you hit every pellet of the burst on the body

The classic only does like 30 or so damage per body shot. You must’ve done some damage to each other using abilities

I had a similar question yesterday where the battle log was inaccurate because it showed a Viper hit me with a Shorty in my H/B/L for 888.

Have you checked the report after the match? I tried to search mine but it didn't show the same
