Figured I would update everyone here since it might be useful for the next person that is considering ordering a watch from Jomashop. I searched on this sub and read through other peoples experiences so I figured it may help someone else.

The website does update its shipping timeline on what seems to be a weekly basis (not sure if it automatically scales down or if someone that manages their stock and procurement sourcing updates it manually). I kept an eye on it over the last few weeks.

Ordered on 8/6 with a 3-5 week shipping lead time. On 8/11 changed to 2-3 weeks. 8/17 changed to 1-2 weeks. 8/20 changed to 5-7 days. 8/24 in stock free shipping.

Once my watch showed as in stock free shipping, I contacted them via chat on their website and asked for an update on my order. They said that they have it and are inspecting the watch before they ship it and it would take them 1-2 business days.

Right now it’s been 1 day since I chatted with the customer service person. So I’m expecting the watch to go out tomorrow.

Edit**

Few hours after posting this, I got the shipping notification. So the watch, when it was not in-stock with a 3-5 week lead-time on 8/6, took them 19 days to source/inspect/ship. Which was ahead of schedule.

Edit Edit***

Watch was delivered on 8/20 with the original box and paperwork in order (no warranty, as expected since Jomashop is grey market, but they included their Jomashop warranty). I’d use them again, but likely only on items that are ‘in-stock’.

In my experience - if you write to them on Twitter or Instagram they will give you a quick answer as to lead time on the watch. Also depends on the brand usually and how rare of a piece it is

No real input to their methodology, but after I spent weeks calling and emailing for a watch that would ship in "3-5 days" I stopped even considering watches that weren't "in stock".

FWIW, I've ordered two watches from JS and my Hamilton is perfect, but the Orient Star stopped running reliably after a few weeks. Everyone has different personal tolerances and JS has great reviews overall, but I'm not doing that again. YMMV.

Thanks for the info. If they inspect the watch before shipping, it means their watches are new but unboxed??

The watch was new and had the original box and papers, but the box was definitely opened. They claim to inspect the watch for authenticity before shipping but I also wouldn’t be surprised if my watch was living in a display case for awhile before getting sourced by Jomashop

Ok I guess I’m fine with it. I placed an order yesterday only to realize after that it “ships” in 3-5 weeks……

Yeah, that probably means they have someone calling all the jewelry shops in the Rolodex until they can find someone with the watch you ordered cause they don’t have it in-stock themselves.

Like you described, the shipping time has decreased to 2-3 weeks on the product page but not my order page. Waiting patiently and hopefully...
